Can you put tungsten tape over protective edge guard tape?

I have a PROLITE magnum I bought 15 years ago, I still play and use it regularly and I am a power spin player The new tech is much more spin, control etc, so I will upgrade but I will miss the durability of the older, simplistic paddles

I have not tried the balls yet but …….Selkirk’s warranty is a load of bullshit. Here’s why: (1) You must submit a minimum of (4) balls for a claim (2) “Normal wear and tear is NOT covered” (3) You have to pay $6.00 for each claim. Question: If abuse and misuse is not covered AND normal wear and tear is not covered, what the HELL is covered? The best part is that you don’t get ANY notice of these “warranty” terms until AFTER you buy and complete the warranty registration. So, if you laid out $2.50 each for 4 cracked balls (plus tax) you will pay another $6 to file a warranty claim for a total of $16. That’s $4.00 per ball. Like I said, the product had better be good because the warranty sucks ass.

Pickle Ball used to be a fun sport for seniors who could no longer play tennis to enjoy tennis in a similar way, however, want-a-be TicTok influencers and that couldn’t play tennis decided to take the trans athlete shortcut to showcase they could be good at something took over and pushed seniors out. I had the 003 and now the Luxx. I love the control but I too wish for a carbon fiber to get spin. I am hoping Selkirk will offer it so I can keep with my favorite brand.

Why is the Amped Pro not available in other weights? Is that likely to change? I use a lightweight paddle. Would give the pro a try if it came in my weight range.

Selkirk you guys are so far behind on the market … You by far have the best customer service and business model but your just not keeping up with the new technology get rid of that hole in the paddle make a powerful carbon fiber paddle with good pop that wont delaminate…

....and doesn't tell us a single thing about it.

Middle of the road paddle in terms of power and control. Plays well "out of the box" meaning no lead tape placement needed for me for this paddle. Power Air has more pop still. Decent paddle for the price.
