The second release of 12 had a brighter red jacket with a mat finish compared to the darker satin of the original & better version.

Whilst not the best B&M figure set the original release of this 3 pack in 2018 has a lot of sentimental value for me as it was the last figure set I bought before my father died I remember that day in the car with my mam going to B&M and driving home I honestly love this set and it was a decent first release of a Bill Potts figure

As much as I love the Character Options Tardis models, we can't escape the fact that they've just retooled the 7th Doctor classic-era box, and made several shortcuts. The Shada box is the Barry Newberry build which, with its squat construction, was a noticeable departure from the previous Brackhacki versions. Don't get me wrong, the CO Yardley-Jones box (which debuted with Sylvester) has been satisfactorily retooled into the Brachacki variant boxes; with alterations to the roof and lamp fresnel. And to that end, one hopes the same can be done for future 80s-era boxes - including the 8th Doctor's movie box. Be it with the altered roof stacks, fresnels, or signage. As was done with the now-scarce Whittaker box. I recently purchased a custom Dalek Movie Peter Cushing Tardis, and it's a thing of beauty. But of course, it was more expensive than a mass-produced model. The 4th Doctor Shada figure, of course, is truly wonderful. I have six Character Option boxes in my collection: 1. David Bradley flight control, 2. Jo Martin, 3. Sylvester Mc Coy flight control, 4. Eccleston/Tennant new series flight control, 5. Matt Smith's new series flight control, and 6. Whittaker/Tennant /Gatwa flight control (retooled classic). Splendid boxes.... all of them! :-)

Definitely a favourite of mine at one point had 4 of these sets just for the sake of it lmao don to two now I do wish the Sarah Jane adventures line continued would’ve loved to see a blathereen or a commander kaagh perhaps even a mr smith play set

This and the day of the daleks B&M set were the two B&M sets I could never get hold of and now fetch ridiculous prices on eBay making it impossible let’s hope one day I can find them for cheap lmao

Can't remember if I got this set though I have all these figures from other releases which you mentioned was this a B&M set? Also when did it come out as I totally cant remember as all my figures are in storage unit so can't really go to find out (20ft storage unit) due lack of space at the house and it's a bit of a distance away from my house.

Still got the original ones and they repainted them and they are correct on onscreen tv. And love them even the creation of the daleks set is rare

I think the black and gold Dalek and the bronze Dalek with the transparent section beneath the eye are from the very early Battling Daleks set. This set was released before the black Dalek (Sec) had been seen on tv. Therefore the black and gold paint scheme does not actually represent any Dalek seen on tv.

I haven't been collecting the cartoon line, but I've got to say it looks very cool! Shame about the missing flight stand, but otherwise it's a nice looking vehicle. Would have loved this as a kid! They could go quite far with this line as a lot of people think of the cartoon style as the definitive one. They didn't use all the available figures in the cartoon, but they had their own characters they could make into new toys. A Granamyr would be good. On the back of the box, near the top, you can see Snake Mountain. Is this the Origins one, or do you think they'll do a cartoon version of that and Castle Grayskull? Good review, Joe 👍
