That clear plastic bag is good to maintain the prints for a while but it will be a problem with the lighting at the con, it's gonna reflect as people come forward to see it better.

Gotta say you understood that warming up the cover and softening the rubber makes a huge difference. I have my new cover sitting inside on a radiator because it is 12/1/23 & chilly. Once it's all warmed up I will get a big flathead screwdriver and put it on. Thanks for an entertaining & factual video.
