Geoff Nugent, second from right, (for those not acquainted with him) struck up a conversation with me at the Abbey Road on the River festival in the US in 2012, I believe it was. (Yes, I am a Yank.) I had mentioned that I was planning on visiting Liverpool within a year, or so to do a Beatles "pilgrimage." He invited me to contact him when I decided I would be going. In May of 2014, I called him from the States to tell him I was coming. I made the trip and contacted Geoff when I arrived in Liverpool. Literally, 30 minutes later, he picked me up at my hotel, and took to the Lathom Hall where I watched him perform along with many other Liverpool legends that night. Many people in the hall struck up conversations with me and treated me like an old friend, showing me around the hall, and telling me about the history of the place. I will always remember them as wonderful people who were very kind to me. This all happened thanks to Geoff's kindness and friendliness towards me. Sadly, five months later, I received word of Geoff's passing, October 2014. I think of him and the Liverpool people very often which is what brought me here tonight.

His performances were always unique. My partner often sat & spoke with Martin & was incredibly saddened to hear of his passing. Good to have recordings of him,he should be remembered as a breath of fresh air & the very best of The Wirral music scene. God speed Sir 🙏 & thank you.

I had the pleasure of being in Pete Fenlon's back garden bar/rehearsal room when Jackie was showing the rest of the band this song ...3 people have passed since ...Geoff, Jackie & Peter.

I just saw this video, THE UNDERTAKERS gave us some great music, they did not receive their just dues in the sixties. So sad JACKIE is not with us anymore. Thanks for the video.

Thanks to each individual band member of The Undertakers... through Jackie a lot of great blues was piped from Liverpool to us in Ojai/Ventura County, CA, U.S. Many Thanks guys! I know Jackie's recent trips back home to visit family and play with the band, recent releases on Apple meant a lot to him. His wit was sharp and memory clear. Thanks again for "loaning" us Jackie for so long.

A bit slower than the original, but that helps to lend a 'dreamy' relaxed feel to the track I think, great performance from Caroline, one of the stand out tracks from this particular afternoon.

I did this tune live on 03/3/11 at the Open Mic at the Little Brighton Pub, New righton, Wirral, UK, and it was the first time I've performed one of my own songs live. Got some really positive feedback on the quality of the song, and I hope as some of the other musicians I work with get to know it, and some of my other songs too, the live performances of my own material can be improved.

Could I take this opportunity , personally, to apologise for one of my knobbly knees showing in the video - I do have to carry a licence at all times for those legs. It was hot on stage and my Crafter guitar had gone out of tune in the heat, so I grabbed Nige's Gibson C130, which sounds amazing (well, when he plays it !)
