    Nice experience. Like for sure. Advice : for the panel use better (more expensive) bit with 4 cutting sides, not two. Then maximum two passes will make nice smooth finish and rotor speed 5000 max.

    Ha. I found your channel because I just ordered some really pricey walnut bar rail for a home bar build. I DON'T want to screw up the cutting or fitment of the rail. I watched your vid on the bar build you'd done. Next I found my way to your gallery web pages. Surprised to see a kegerator in the thumbnails, I made my way to this video. I built a kegerator from a top loading mini chest freezer about 8 or 9 years ago. I can fit 4 corner kegs inside or 2 and a 20 pound CO2 tank in the keezer. I swapped out the OEM thermostat for an Inkbird digital PID controller that allows 0.1 degree temp control. Wrapped the sides in luan built a "coffin top" finished with tile, LED lighting and a drip tray that drains to a plug. Around that same time I built an all electric 3 keg HERMS pilot brewing system so that I could make 10-11 gallon batches without boil overs or propane. If you navigate to my channel about 8 years ago I have vids of both builds. I went through hundreds of recipes to hone my brewing skills and gave away a lot of beer as I was learning. Now it's time to incorporate the kegerator into the bar back on the new bar room build out. We're getting close and I hope to wind the project down before college football season gets rolling. Thanks for the bar rail build vid. I will incorporate some of your knowledge as I proceed.

    Succinctly and clearly explained. Your remark about a "missing" part gave me some hope. I have a new, unused (apparently) Metabo pinner that I got cheap in an auction, which must have a manufacturing defect, as it leaks massively out the exhaust as soon as it is connected to the air supply. Depressing the trigger stops the leak until it's released again. I'm hoping it's a part missing or damaged on assembly, and not a casting defect.

    Hello my name is Richard, and I am interested in buying the Bosch table saw. Could you please tell me what you think about your Bosch saw, like is it worth buying, and how long have you had yours, and were you satisfied with it overall. The plastic gears are causing me concern, but your main bearing went out. People are saying how disappointed they are with these plastic parts. Did you like the way your saw performed? It looks like you used it plenty, so I value your opinion. I was all set on the Bosch over the Dewalt and the Skilsaw, but I started hearing horror stories about the plastic gears. I appreciate that you showed the underneath view of the bottom of the saw. So please can you share with me your opinion about this Bosch saw. I really want to love this saw but I’m apprehensive about the purchase. This saw seems to fit my needs, being smaller out of the three. This saw would be at our summer home and not used everyday, so I’m hoping that this saw would stand up to my workload, it wouldn’t be at a job site being used day in day out. Well your Bosch looks like you got to know it pretty well, so I’m interested in your opinion. Please could you comment on the pros and cons of what you’ve experienced with this saw, because I would greatly appreciate you view? Thank you so much for your time, and I hope you respond. Richard

      @TheTrullGallery Před 2 měsíci

      Hey Richard! I've had this saw for over four years, and I treat it like my old cabinet saw. I think the bearing issue was from tuning an extension cord too long (I've remedied that). It's getting a bit tired, but I use it a lot! I miss my Unisaw, but I'd buy this one again.

    It is a great gun for the price. Your nitpicking is so bad since you are comparing it to a more pro-grade sprayer. It is a cheap plastic spray gun for the homeowner DIY person that does not run a business painting. For what it is your review could have been a bit easier considering the DIY aspect. Also one of those long reach brushes used to clean out glasses works amazing to reach the inside of the cup better than a hand does.

    I appreciate your demonstrating this, Dave. I've thought about getting the attachment rather than a machine if I find myself needing to make more mortises. (I haven't yet.) But I just upgraded my drill press from 1/3 to 3/4 hp, so I'm ready! Glad your arm is improving. Thanks, Robb

    I think I've watched dozens of these router dado jig videos. Saved a handful and tried one. It was just too much for my beginner skills. This? I think I can do! Thank you for the good explanation and video - and for not over complicating it!

    I know this was a while ago 😅 but I was wondering how this piece came out with 5 coats applied. I checked your channel for a possible update but didn’t see one. Did it come out glossy? Or, did it still have a matte type finish to it? And how has it held up today? Thanks in advance for all the info and advice!

    • @TheTrullGallery
      @TheTrullGallery Před 3 měsíci

      Danish Oils (in my experience) always come out with a matte finish. It may have a bit of a sheen initially, especially if you add a coat or two of paste wax, but that tends to fade. I built my desk around 24 years ago, gave it six coats of oil, and I've probably waxed the top three times since then. It's developed an amazing patina, and has a smooth matte finish to this day.

    I feel bad for you and your arm but I’m glad they were able to do something to try and fix it. I have a torn hamstring tendon where it connects to my pelvic bone myself. It can be seriously painful and there isn’t a realistic possibility of a surgical solution. Like you I don’t let injury slow me down, not much anyway. We just have to be creative in how we get things done. Of course if you listen to the Doctors slowing things down a bit would have prevented the injury to begin with, lol. I guess they think because I’m over sixty I’m not supposed to get things done? (Hearing Tom T. Hall singing “who’s gonna feed them hogs” in my head). I think it’s just the difference between our generation and the younger ones myself. In the navy they called it “can do spirit” meaning when we were given a task, we never responded with “we can’t do that” we just completed the task as assigned. I’ve been that way my whole life and I’m not going to change now. I’ll get all the rest I need when I’m dead and gone. The way I see it I came into this world with a perfect body, it’s up to me to find out how much I can accomplish with it before I’m gone. There was never any intent to leave this world with a perfect body.

      The elbow that came with the kit was tight. I used a heat gun to soften the plastic. When it was soft enough, I was able to push it onto the planer adapter.

    I won a Triton router as a door prize at a Rockler store last year. What a difference using this bad boy in my Bosch RA11-1 router table! I too drilled a plate hole for the height adjustment bar to go through. Now I can make easier bit changes as well. I had a Black and Decker 1 3/4 plunge router in the table with a screw and washer gimmick to raise and lower the whole rig. Nice to have a real handle instead. More precision, less fatigue getting the height right. This demo video is spot on. Using the Triton's height adjustment is wonderful. Great feature! Much less expensive than buying a Kreg or Rockler lift kit at $350 and then adding a router too.
