Stay a little longer!!!!!! Just perfectly real Sometimes losing does make you free. But it's relative.......eh? Dumb luck worcks to. Ha ...thank you all.
My Beautiful Friend Mr H turned me on to Bob and Guitar 🎸 I've never looked back .. Thanks Bob and H! Dublin dude
Bert's most beautiful song - and it's still my favourite of all time ! (My second favourite is "Riders on the storm" by the Doors)
Just like the Seneca, I have lost my place. And where I've been planted, now, soon will be shaken. And just like the Seneca, it's a losing race. Too soon, tomorrow will come. And nighttime's awakening brings forth a melody I've heard before. Oh, my God, must it be so hard just to breathe, and love, and learn to be a man?! I'm doing all that I can. Too soon tomorrow, nighttime delay its pace. Too soon, tomorrow becomes yesterday.
JLH is a titan of an artist, astounding to sit for a few minutes with this early work, had to check it on repeat, yes! I have heard varied renditions of this song, but, spoiler alert (?) i think this is the first time i've noticed or heard him saying 'Tupelo is gone.' at the end, so deadpan. Grateful.
yes, lord. !!!!!!!!!
Dave Holland..?? damn...
Cool cover! ❤❤

Used to have this Picks CD. Pig Dead = most raw primal A+ Dead! The Schoolgirl performed at this show is, shall was say, unique in that Jerry plays slide throughout.

The Bird was flyin' on that one 🙂🦅

One of my favorite jazz cuts
Glen Campbell did overtone singing? Wow.
This song was made in memory of Brian Jones especially the song is about a lost loved one that struggled with addiction and Charlie watts died peacefully and Brian Jones died on drugs. The song also mentions Berber jewelry on your face and Brian Jones wore Berber jewelry all the time but Charlie didn’t. RIP Charlie Watts and RIP Brian Jones.
Love fred neil and im reading his biography. From argentina
Best bass line ever written, or bestest bass line ever written?
Garth Ropin the wind is on vinyl from europe, George Strait Holding my own was available thru colombia house , and Alan Jackson jukebox was on vinyl and is getting reissued the end of the month.
I know about and mentioned the original releases on some of them, but the prices are exorbitant and they need and deserve to be reissued.
Who played bass on this? Love it
Charles Fanbrough
Great song. I remember hearing this song way back in the 70's by Red Sovine. I trucked for 44 years. Always loved this classic. Still hear it occasionally on Willie's Roadhouse
She was the best white black blues singer i ever see and heard the others were posers

You’re welcome! I like to share my favorites/ones I think are worthy of your time.
This man should be a household name. I've always thought that this is one of the best songs any songwriter ever wrote. By the way, if you are here, and listening to this, you have the best musical taste - like myself
Thank the good Lord that this music was recorded. We music lovers would be much less without it. Thank you for posting, and keep the good shit coming!

Full disclosure: I love the SRV version but I prefer the original, after hearing it for the first time this week.

All the people that I have known that Road bike in the Days that Triumph and Bonneville for popular have told Me that they where great motorbikes , and then later when the Hondas were getting up to around the 350cc range they were the next Best bikes that you could get !
Wow! Ive never seen a photo of him, this young! I knew that he was originally a guitar player - seems like i read that he hurt a finger/fingers, and switched to piano?
raw, and down and dirty - just like you like it
