I failed smog twice now on a 1996 Infiniti g20; only the 15 mph HC portion.I gapped all the sparks, cleaned the dist. cap contacts, checked ohms on spark plug wires, and timing was perfect. between the two fails, I replaced a cracked intake boot leading from the air filter to the intake, but it only dropped 10 ppm or so. I have been failing for the last 8 years, but always manage to do a little something to get it to pass the second time; except this time. Could it be a vacuum leak, or an upstream O2 sensor if it only fails on low RPM? Thanks!

@brianwillson3693 4 minutes ago My 1997 GMC 1500 truck with a 5.7 liter vortec engine with a 4l60e transmission.My trans was rebuilt 12 years ago & a trans go shift kit with corvette servo.Note my filter & fluid has not been changed since.Last week while driving my truck just felt like it went in neutral.I managed to pull in a gas station & added a quart of tranny fluid.I about a 1 mile managed to drive home but my rpm's were kinda high ,but made it to my apartment .Now when starting when I put it in gear when I give it gas it tries to go forward and backwards.do you think a change of fluid and filter will help? The tranny has not made any noises,but found tranny fluid under truck leaks under truck in the last couple of weeks.Any advice you could give would be appreciated.

Nice. However when you took out the 2nd one, you should have wiped it off as you mentioned while you had it out for visual representation. Regardless of the fact it may have been a 'junk' transmission. 👍🏻

Dude, that helped me Alot! Thank you. My blinker would either work or not depending on if I hit a bump or not. Bought this exact piece from Toyota but I didn't want to break it trying to change it out so Thank you. It worked out just perfectly. Problem solved.

My other issue is I keep going through distributors about every 10,000 miles. I have to put a new cap on.

My 99 Yukon has had a shake every since I’ve bought it I replaced the gearbox pit arms, front hub bearings, Drive axles sway bar, links, new rims, and tires and new shocks and still have the shake I’m literally going nuts trying to fix this

Hi have a 2002 Chevy Vortec 8.1L V8 engine that came with my 2002 Chinook Destiny 2400 motorhome. It sits on top of a Chevy Express Cutaway G3500 Chassis. I'm having issues finding the correct EGR value. I look at your links and it doesn't look like it would work for me. Can you place me in the right direction?

Hi, fault code number p0498, and p0135. replace canister valve also the purge valve ( not OEM), same fault no help. I checked the voltage today canister is when the switch is on. I can't find the relay for this Honda Civic 2013 exl. What do you suggest?

I work at a auto part store, customer came in same year and model car, asked to get her tail light bulb replaced, took both of us 15 minutes to try to get that housing off, I eventually came to the conclusion that a hammer is our last resort, hit it 2 times on the bolt that the 10mm nut was on and it popped right off, if anyone else has any trouble just give it a good ol love tap!

1996 chevy silverado k1500. 4l60e got rebuild 30k miles ago and it acts fine when i’m driving after about 20 minutes of driving and i come to a complete stop, go to take off and it wants to go 5 mph. feels like it’s stuck in 2nd. i put it in 1st, then 2nd. nothing. i have 3rd and then no 4th. this happened out of the blue. i let the truck cool down and its fine again until 20 minutes of driving.

Doing an ls swap with a 4.8 junkyard motor, had no idea what went in the back of the valve cover, this clears thing up immensely as the other ls engines dont have the same type of opening

I do not know the application of gasket maker to the threads is appropriate. The service mannual I have (2009 Lexus ES 350) calls for "Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or Equivalent". This is a thread locker adhesive, equivalent to Locktite 271 (red, perminent). I think Locktite 242 (blue, semi-perminent) can also be used.
