How to start a 75 year old Harley-Davidson WLA in eleven easy steps. Yes, I know that I'm wearing boat shoes, but that is just for making the video. I'm not going to ride with them on.

zhlédnutí 3,7KPřed 11 lety
Here is a video of our 1971 Pro Touring Chevelle built for my kids. My son will be driving it to school in the fall. It is a daily driver with a 355 small block, 350 transmission, posi rear, disc brakes front and rear and 18" Coys. Visit my website at southhillcustoms.blogspot.com/
Why is this video quiet
your springs are suppose to be on the back side, of the brake shoe, not the front on a 42 WLA
@@ramonbrende9865 I fixed it in the next video, Part 2 czcams.com/video/GBjoLYa3BuE/video.htmlsi=avsv101unmX26TNS
Looks Awesome!
Interesting thanks
Thanks for keeping the drum brakes! Looks WAY cooler than discs. Sweet scoot all the way!
The anglar ,full eagle.
👍 good job
Do you have a specs for the rotor you used? Maybe a link?
I'm working on my WL as well, this video help me out, Thanks for sharing 🤘🏻
Espia isso 😨😨
Shut the front door!! Wasn’t expecting that!
comfy seat.
Prob a dum question but new to bikes here but what are the two caps for are they both gas like are there two separate tanks or?
Good question. For this year, the tank on the left is gas, the tank on the right is oil. The left tank is much larger, and goes under the frame to the right side, and the right side oil tank is smaller with an oil dipstick inside it. The right cap says "OIL" on it too.
@@southhillcustoms oh ok i always liked that look never known that tho thank you
Also, FYI, In later years it's just two gas tanks.
Thanx for the video!! Great work!!
Nice job man, just got one myself and this was a great idea and execution.
Looks like a gorgeous bike. How about some pics of the bike, maybe a walk around?
Gorgeous car! Mine is a 67 RS marina blue with bright blue deluxe built the fourth week of June at Van Nuys. Similar options as yours, but mines a floor shift 10-bolt peg leg.
To someone in New York? I have this bike now.
Yes, someone in Queens, NY.
Did you ever sell this bike?
Yes, sold her this past summer.
Mm moo
That was nice did you see the front end come up off the ground.
i used kawasakt gpz250 seat as an option on s 1 worked well
finally a Monte Carlo SS that is fast good job.
South hill va? Im on the same buell forum as you on fb want to do the same to my cyclone
Outstanding !!!! Did you consider trimming your tail section before removing it all together ?
Where did you get the new headlight?
Great Video Man! I can relate Completely!! I also have that movie “Better Off Dead”. I own a 1968 Camaro RS myself, so I Completely understand liking the move as well. I am going to purchase the sound track from that movie! When the “Badass Black Camaro” pulls out of the garage, and the song starts playing? Remember the Bass Drum going, “Duh Dum Duh Da Dum” ? Your Car is Awesome and so is your video!
Beautiful i appreciate what yuo put into the bike. I have been riding for 50 years and been a mechanic for 38. Where did you get the seat cowling/ seat set up please? Keep the rubber down. You have the perfect engine foe street riding!.
I purchased seat parts from www.dimecitycycles.com/motorcycle-parts/motorcycle-seats-and-frame-parts.html Wish I still had the bike, but some kid ran me over and totaled it just after I shot the video.
Awesome Camaro!
Very good job! Well done!
Can't believe the track is gone I'm only 15 but my parents have been taking me here since I was 3 rip
Hmmmph! 🤔 I thought the one in "Better of dead" was a 1969. #PardonMe #Craftsman Nice job! 💪
i just bought one RS. Needed an engine and trans. But has all parts, body work already done. $10k . Just curious about how much of a restore I would need to do. Guess it depends on making it a driver in six months or a very nice fully restored. Are you still around? Did you Get finish with yours?
Beautiful
AWESOME CAR. THINK ABOUT ADDING THE REAR SPOILER.
Tjank god u didnt put a LS motor in it. So sick of seeing that. Hey was tjose heavy chevy door panels.
How long did the whole restoration take ?
Man I'd kill to find a C2 Vette like this. I'd buy it in a second.
That is my fathers racecar thanks for uploading this video.
southhillcustoms thanks, he still has it and he enjoys it when he can race.
No more NHRA or diesel nationals.
RIP
52 years of this and I’ve only been around for the last 14
