Iterated map explorer - Explore chaotic discrete dynamical systems
Pygame application that allows exploration of parameter space of 2D discrete dynamical systems.
Interesting parameter settings are found by calculating the entropy of the rasterized image. High entropy corresponds to feature-rich images which can be used a starting point for exploring the parameter space around the attractor.
The iterated functions are quadratic polynomials in two variables.
x(n+1) = f1[x(n),y(n)]
y(n+1) = f2[x(n),y(n)]
