i finally got around to making a new evolution video! this time it's of ariel and flounder exploring a sunken shipwreck and then getting chased by glutz the shark! personally, this is the best non musical number scene in the little mermaid 2023!

with disney recently auctioning off some old animation sketches for TLM, it's been discovered that they did roughly animate this verse before it was taken out. with the footage from the 1/5/89 workprint, and the 1987 storyboards, here's a roughly complete version with those auctioned drawings included!

this is the scene where king triton destroying ariel's grotto from the little mermaid 2023, but with the 1989 instrumental! i also did something different from my other videos like this, i used the animated triton's dialogue voiced by kenneth mars, with halle bailey's ariel dialouge! i also used a couple storyboards to fill in the gaps where there wasn't enough footage

The 2023 version is cringeworthy, especially Melissa's voice. She should have tried to do her own thing rather than mimic the 1989 voice. You can hear the strain. As far as the visual effects in the 2023 version, when they're good they're really good, but when they're bad they really bad.

Think of people in 1989 .There was a gap of several decades, when the word gay was still obscure and taboo, the author writes It’s hard to tell what emotions are involved; dreams, hopes, and the desire to be accepted. He died of AIDS two years later, and he didn't even have time to receive his second Oscar, and he couldn't see how the world would change drastically in the future.

I still remember watching The Little Mermaid in theaters, it was truly a magical experience ❤❤ Happy 1-year Anniversary to the best live action Disney movie! (in my opinion) ❤ It feels like it barely came out yesterday 😢 Time flies by pretty quickly if I do say so myself 😅
