Doing the testing to show that the ONE Ocean sports Tow rope will not get sucked up the Jetskis impeller. This gives a huge peace and mind when out in big waves or just general towing around on your Jetskis that your day will not be cut short due to a skinny cheap rope that could end up costing you thousands!! Could only watch in 360p
I think it takes a little time to fully load into CZcams so if you check back soon it will be available in higher res as well.
Can now watch in high res
I have this exact Evo and an Edge3. What fin style for Evo in waves like this vid?
Looks fast!
Yeah it's such a fun wing, been my go to for Prone, wing and DW for pretty much any condition lately. Seems to carry good speed and glide which makes my life easy haha.
Looking good, keen to see action footage and full dims
Hey mate, you should come and grab a wing and take it for a bash, more fun than watching me haha. Most of the other vids on this channel are done on the 1049 wing. Not much prone footage just yet on here but it will be coming for both the 1049 and the 870 wings.
@@jacko5469 that would be awesome I'll visit in the next few weeks, thanks

What is the difference between EDGE2.0 and EDGE3.0?
I have the 3 now. Transitioned from the 2 3 is better in wind. Bow doesn’t get blown around as much. 3 Has improved glide. It is slightly dug out. The 2 was more stable at the pivot but everywhere else the 3 improved. My 2c
wouldn't happen to fit North fuse as well?
Hi, I don't think so but will double check this when I see a mates new North set up next time I am at the beach with him. I do feel they might be slight different though.
Thanks for showing us Jacko & Ange. Had to order it straight away…can’t wait!
Smart! Can we have a chart of the different size and dims?
Yes mate, more details are coming on this wing plus the 870-SDR and the new tail. If you ever have any questions you can always just hit me up as happy to help wherever I can. Cheers Jacko
Which leash are you using?
This is the leash. www.oneoceansportsaustralia.com/accessories/no-logo-waist-leash
What is the red board? Can't find it on your site.
The red board is a 5'10 EGG which is our production board and should be on the website.

Omg! Great information but the Aussie accent over the damn radio!!! You should reshoot this
Haha didn't even notice the background music but after it was pointed out I can hear it clear, I'll make sure next time to turn it off so it's just the strange Aussie/kiwi accent 😅
Cool video but the country music in the background is very distracting and makes it hard to hear you speaking…please mute next time! Happy foiling!
where can I buy this rope will this rope be good for tow surfing big waves
The idea is good. But, the execution is poor. For each board he needs to provide all the dimensions and actually list the pros and cons of each board he refers to.
Huge effort Jacko
Next step for you maybe hey? just do a shorter version somehow but as a step up from Howard street it is the perfect 2nd step.
Impressive DW run. What foil are you on? Do you know average and Maximum Heart Rate for the Session? How much do you weigh? Hopefully your Mates will join you next time :)
Foil is a ONE foil, I talk about it in the Vid for a little bit. These will be out soon or kind of now for those that are close enough to come and check them out. A more public release will happen soon. These are bloody unreal foils haha we do make them so a little biased but nah they are unreal and will be compatible with some other foils on the market which should hopefully help a few more people have options. I weigh high 70kgs maybe 77-79kg. Max heart rate for this run was super low and maybe zone 2 with some zone 3 when the harder spots came. Yeah if i'm lucky enough to get some mates soon they can join haha
Sick run! What board you riding and what do you think about hand paddles?
Board is a ONE prototype 7'2 x 17 1/2. Hand paddles yeah never really needed to use them and don't quite see the point but what ever works for people is good by me. Never actually seen anyone use them on the goldy but i am sure they will turn up soon enough.
Keen to know what board you're on. Running 2.40 pace. Are you a runner as well? Just making it look effortless Jacko!
7'2 x 17 1/2 x 92L x 4.8kg it's a ONE proto that we make in the ONE HQ Sounds narrow but it's actually pretty stable for it's width.
How do you do it so effortlessly?!
Haha I like to say Downwind foiling goes from one of the hardest things you can ever do to one of the easiest once you work it out. Best thing these days is the gear for DW foiling is so much better and it's made it so much easier.
Nice 👍
Just a casual 40kms and not knowing where you're going. Awesome
You will be doing this in no time mate!!
Awesome,,,hope you found the finish!!!!!
Haha yes and didn't even have to walk this time so stoked.
Cool board! How is this board for ocean racing?
Thanks man. I love this vid. Been struggling heaps and will own practice this more. ❤
holy fucking amazing! man!
What foil?
Hi Roy, this is on our own FU/ONE foils, this wing size is roughly 1049. Should have more info on these one day very soon.
that is a SUP or KAYAK?
Perfect!
nice. what foil and board do you have in the beginning?
Hi Yann, hard question as it can really depend on what kind of foiling you are wanting to do, maybe give me a bit more info on what kind of foiling you are looking at.
@@jacko5469 I greased my question poorly. Ahahahah. What I meant was, in the beginning if the video you have a dw foil board with a carbon foil on the bottom left part of the screen. Which foil and board is that? Thanks
@@yanndabadie2855 the board is an Egg www.oneoceansportsaustralia.com/shop/the-egg The foil is our full one piece foil we are making from our brand Foil Unknown, the set up you can see is my downwind set up that is the foil I use 99% off the time.

More than happy to help make sure you get all the right stuff and help make it as easy as possible. Just shoot me an email at jacko@oneoceansports.com and I can send any info you need. Cheers Jacko
@@jacko5469 hey thanks mate just sent email
So cool to watch your videos 🤩 May i ask you something i were nowhere able to find out: How do the location for DW Foiling matter? I mean caribbean waters/atlantik compared to pacifik... or lets say baltic sea. Would you say as long as the wind blows, it have to be possible to get better or less better conditions but always surfable? (Downwindable)?Nobody talks ever about water deepth too. That might matter a lot. As we all know is how aeasy doing a "surffoil-Downwinder" closed to the shore. Proper DW SUP Foiling open ocean. Thats what i mean 😃😃 The stuff you do wirh to much ease man... Thanks bro!!! You're amazing
Hi Kitefuchs, downwind foiling is really doable anywhere that you get good wind chop so this can be big lakes, Rivers(like hood river) and ocean. If its windy enough and a long enough area is allowed for the swell fetch to build up then really anything is possible. Water depth can make a difference to how the bumps form and when the wind/swell bumps hit shallower water they get steeper and as the water get deeper then the swells roll a bit more. The ocean swells can be much faster in deeper water but sometimes the shallower water is more fun as you can surf the bumps better. If you have good wind and wind chop then get into it!!! Cheers Jacko
Great video. First half is great motivation to get into DWing, last half less so :). Not sure what would hurt more the 1k+ of prone paddle or the 2k of paddling that tiny sup against the current.
What foil and size gear you running? Cheers mate
On this day I was on our R2 wing which size wise is approx 1350, the board is 5'10 x 23 x 90L x 5kg
Sorry this day I actually used our R3 which is 1650
Good looking cam lol you pretty man you
Great, could you share your equipment size ?
Yeah no worries, the boards are 5'10 x 23 x 90L x 5kg call the Egg, the foil is a 1350 size front wing called the R2 from foil unknown. All the board info is at the below link, the foils are not online just yet as they are all sold out before they are made so not ready to put them fully out fully but when they are more available they will also be on the below link www.oneoceansportsaustralia.com/shop/the-egg
where do you downwind
Here on the Gold Coast we mostly do the Snapper north run and in a Northly we like to go down South from Kingscliff to Pottsville
Great stuff Jacko!
Epic! Keep it up man. I'm enjoying the footage. Your board looks small! If you don't mind me asking, what's your weight and the board length width and volume? 😎🤙🍻
Hey mate, I am 77kg the board is a 5'10 x 23 x 90L x 5kg. It's called the Egg from ONE
www.oneoceansportsaustralia.com/shop/the-egg
Do you have any demo wing boards?
Yes, we have a 5ft as a demo right now and in 2 weeks we will have all the other sizes available again for demo. What size were you looking to demo?
I get the thrill of flying, but in many ways foiling seems a step backwards, although not as bad as the motorized foil sups. On a kayak, ski, sup and OC, you still have to work for the thrill, even in downwind conditions. Still, great to see a new innovation become accessible.
Hi Michael, not sure if you have done DW foiling or not but on the skill side it is technically one of the hardest out of all the sports you mentioned and on the working hard side when you are learning it will 100% be one of the harder things most people will try, the pay of is that once you start to get it then you can choose if you just want to surf the bumps for 20 or 30km or you can choose to go hard and I can guarantee that it can still be physically harder than any SUP or other paddle sport. Like all things you only get out what you put in. For me the foil allows me to surf the ocean like no other water craft with a speed that is pretty much unmatched by any other paddle sport. Those other sports you mentioned are also unreal and I love SUP DW as much as anyone but this is that next level!!
@@jacko5469 Thanks for the reply, yah I feel there is a lot of truth in what you say and as an older ex speed freak who likes to work for his thrills, I certainly see the appeal. However, for the uninnitiated I imagine the learning curve may preclude the physiological benefits. Having said that, these days I realise there is more to life than VO2 (however it is highly correlated to longevity). I see the place for foiling, in my head (literally), as a mindful or mental health enriching.
Did you hit a shark?
No not this time😉 we did nearly get killed by a breaching whale 🐳 about 5mins after the battery went dead. Very very close
What would you get as your first sup foil board? 75kg
Kind of depends on what SUP experience you might have, if you have good balance and have done some SUP before then something like 5'10 x 27.5 x 110L would be a good start. You could go smaller but the learning curve might be longer and bigger will be easier but you will out grow it easier. Also depends on what kind off riding you want to do as most boards will do it all but most will do one area better than other areas. If you jump on our website you can see the 3 different styles of SUP foil boards we do, this should give you some good ideas www.oneoceansportsaustralia.com/shop/foil-downwind
How many kilometres per hour is the wind you usually DW in? Or what would be the minimum amount of wind that you would look at DW foiling in?
This day was about 20knots but we can foil in really no wind as long as the bumps are good. If it was to blow 20knots east onshore for a day and then drop right out to zero wind we could still foil as the bumps would be good enough still.
@@jacko5469 thanks 🤙🤙🤙
