If I heard you right you said "A horror film with Homelander would be terrifying." I think that is basically what the movies "Brightburn"(2019) and "Firestarter" (2022) and to a lesser extent (similar theme, but it wasn't really horro)"Chronicle" (2012) I liked Chronicle a lot, can't attest to the quality of the other two as I haven't seen them.

Unfortunately the Firecracker/Starlight situations mirrors something that actually happened in American politics, in 2017 a candidate named Roy Moore was running for office in Alabama, during that time it came out that he had SA'd women and hassled underage girls repeated times to the point he actually got banned at a local mall. He, thankfully, lost but it was only by 2%, meaning even after all that stuff was out in the public, half the state still willingly voted for him. Trump also endorsed him after all of this had already came out in the public.

This is just my opinion but some of the villains are too one note. While I think Antony Starr is amazing as Homelander, I just wish the character had a bit more depth. We've just watched him doing increasingly horrible and cruel things throughout the 4 seasons that I'm kind of desensitized to it at this point. Imagine a season where Homelander had some kind of change of heart, like he saves someone and it actually makes him feel something positive, or something along those lines, just to have something horrible happen later that really shatters him. I think that would be a more interesting plot than "look it's homelander doing something awful for the 500th time!" or even the deep, but there's this writing philosophy that there are lines you cross where a character can never appear redeemable again, and I think because the deep R'd he can never do anything good, ever, but in reality people are far more complex than that, and even bad people do good things sometimess.

As you said this season is your least favorite and the next episode isnt great but the final two were absolutely fantastic and i think you'll really enjoy them they definitely bumped up the season for me

I hate Firecracker more than Homelander just because he’s simply one of the greatest villains put to screen and she’s just annoying asf, but however what she did this episode doesn’t hold a candle to all the evil shit Homelander has done let alone in this episode in particular

24:21 Wow you may be the first reactor ive seen that didnt immediately get red flags from this and instead focused on what Ryans intentions were which WAS to help someone. Yeah Homelander is clearly trying to manipulate him into feeling like he can get away with anything with this BUT Ryan for this situation is simply using this as a means to sincerely help someone who clearly appreciates it.

Rhaenyra kissing Mysaria was do to stress I think cause girls do that kinda stuff.. Mysaria has been on her side championing her if you will more than the other. An were growing closer as time went on. Devils advocate: Mysaria is an ex-whore and spy master so kissing another woman doesn't mean anything to her if it means getting her way. She is Rhaenyra version of Larys.. Just saying.

yeah compound V given to adults has a extremly high death rate i believe and its also really painful which is another reason why they inject infants becuase the part of the brain that stores memories hasn't formed yet so they dont remember the trauma

The series turned out to be controversial, but overall it was interesting and unexpected. Some minor characters may have died, but everything turned out okay. By the way, this kiss and the relationship between Reyenira and the White Leech are not in the book, but this only adds intrigue)

To your intro points, it's just basic tribalism at play. Humanity has gotten worse with it lately. It's not about 'sides', as you say. Most people are just too obtuse to understand this. I love the character development all around. People are too simple.

Daemons storyline in Harrenhal has gone on too long I feel. I’m ready for caraxes to get into action. The pacing this season is slow, but it’s still one of the best shows. Hopefully these last shows will have a lot of action

Daemon may not fear Aemond but he definitely respects Aemonds abilities and most of all Vhagar. I think it is a competitive fight between the two of them but Aemond is at a disadvantage due to his arrogance, young Daemon was similarly arrogant and he paid for it as we saw in the tournament against Criston but he seems to be past that now and is much more objective about opponents which makes him even more dangerous on top of being the more experienced warrior.

I think while Daemon is on a path through self reflection and some kind of self punishment for the guilt he feels maybe catalysed by the wearwood in Harrenhall or maybe Ms. Rivers. Or both. Meanwhile Rhaenyra on the way of feeding her ego through the wormlady and maybe they will meet half way and fit together but i didn`t read the books so I´m just guessing

I like to sometimes give positive feedback on "smaller" channels, I like, when I´m drunk so today it´s you found your stuff few days ago, and I like your style, with the sometimes pausing and talking your thoughts on details and shit it´s nice there are many like .. react or review channels with pretty girls, which say deep stuff like "I love him/her so much" you are actually interesting to listen to

I expected more action sequences given how long season 2 took to make. Hopefully there's at least one more episode on the same scale of episode 4 because that was truly epic. The seasons still great so far imo.

I mean Rhaenyra literally cheated on Daemon and tbf he never did that to her, no matter if he’s a dick or not though it’s not even that but look at what mysaria just said and the writers thought this was a good time for a kiss?!?! And you are definitely right about the fact that Daemon definitely doesn’t fear Aemond in the slightest though I can understand Aemond’s confidence on the fact that he beat Meleys pretty easily and I do like how he’s the only one who can see through larys’ schemes …One thing I realized though is you do seem to prefer Aemond over Daemon which is definitely your opinion and not a bad one per se bc I consider both of them the best and most interesting characters like most people but my question is why lol? Cause it’s not like Daemon is worse than Aemond as a person, they are close so far in levels of morality but I’d argue Aemond is slightly worse as a person though it up to interpretation.

Daemon is right imo. I mean going off this season, Rhaenyra has been awful as queen, stupid and weak which is a shame which is a shame bc she’s different in the book but The writers are stupid for even trying to have Alicent think that she is suitable for Regent , she literally doesn’t have the stomach for war , she’s also weak and in time of war, you want someone ruthless like Aemond in charge and not to mention that she has literally no claim for regent. She did when she was married to the king but now she literally can’t. The only person who has a claim is Halaena and obviously they won’t pick her because of obvious reasons but Aemond does seem smarter than Alicent up to this point.

people don't idolize dragons, as audience of show do, they are terrorized by them. they are tools of oppression through whom targs keep control. also people do know that rhenys and her dragon killed hundreds in dragon pit. with displayed head people realized dragons were not terrifying gods/demons and can be defeated. bad omen for dragons and targs. i for one always side with anyone who will stand up to brutish violence of fire of dragons ( like truly badass lord brakken or riverlords ) or modern technology based firepower of likes of usa, however it will end. deamon, true to his character , oked blackwoods crimes against brakken women and children. he, a hypocrite, just wanted plausible deniability. didn't work. deamon will probably try to blame willem blackwood and publicly punish him(a tactic recommended in machiavelli's the prince; public sacrifice of the tool used to do tyrannical actions) . freys not getting harrenhal, until after red wedding, should be a great clue as to who wins. but there is another possibility. they betrayed jace and that way lost what he promised. jace's last idea is not thought through, would dragon riders "outside" family, with best dragons, really remain loyal. if successful, such people are another sign dragons and targs are not special .
