Timothy Marks is a filmmaker, cameraman, and photographer. I am focusing on creating, developing and producing film and television productions that look at the natural and cultural heritage of Southern Africa. I am passionate about capturing and telling unique stories, to boost awareness and appreciation of the beauty and diversity of Africa. I also enjoys volunteering his technical and creative skills in his local community by engaging in training and mentoring aspiring photographers and filmmakers, as well as aiding a number of wildlife charities in their preservation of endangered wildlife and their anti-poaching work. In 2016 Tim successfully applied to the Mandela-Washington Fellowship, Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) and travelled to the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, USA for further training. Upon completion of that, I went on to pursue a masters degree in documentary production at the university of the west of england.
Dawn through the Mist (Victoria Falls)
In the jungles of Zimbabwe, in a time not long ago, they found '#TheSmokeThatThunders,' where the Zambezi River flows.
There a raging torrent of water, plunges from way up high, down to the chasm below, where spray rises to the sky.

This project was shot in September which is traditionally summer. One point to remember when flying a drone around the #victoriafalls, always be aware of the mist and the direction of the wind as it will easily fog up your lens.

Is this dam larger than Mazowe dam
No mazowe is big, we kariba mazowe and then mazvikadei is third largest
Mazvidaei is about 19 times bigger than Mazoe Dam chief. Mazvikadei alongside Mutirikwi were till recently the biggest inland dams in Zim. Obviously Kariba is bigger but it's not inland. Now Tokwe Mukosi is the beggedt of them all

No place like home, especially if you've been gone for a long, long time...
It's a truly beautiful area. We were blessed to live there, on the banks of the river with baobabs, mopani's & granite hills all around. The heat takes a bit of getting used to & swimming in a river stuffed full of croc's & hippo's was generally considered ill-advised! Great to see the wild dogs!
