I owned 3 Henry Cow albums before I got the joke. Legend.
Not necessarily stoned...but beautiful!
Thanks
volume 2 "live" with sound! what else?
Good song, surprised they didn't have more substantial success in the UK music scene as they had the takent and ability 💎
"To all our mates like Kevin, Caravan, and the old Pink Floyd" (vs. the new Pink Floyd of 69 ; sadly without Barrett)
Nice. I'd only heard "Ypotron".
The way she sings is a bit similar to Peter Hammil' s way.
USED TO SEE THIS BANS @ 3 VENUES 1/THE ROUNDHOUSE CAMDEN,2/ GOLDSMITHS COLEAGE ,3/OGWTEST. ,AND LISTENING TO THIS FIRST AT 16 NOW AGAIN AT 70 ,TIME FLIES. THANKS.
I have to listen to Volume One first before getting into this. It acts as a gateway that helps fully enjoy Volume Two.
The most beautiful melody out of Canterbury. (No version beats dave sinclair w the davoli synthesizer) Ps hope you have seen the video film of jimi and yellow-suited Robert Wyatt. Taking off in a scooter flown by Blind no-glasses jimi.)
The live performance in Paris, with Lyn Dobson on topmost form with a fantastic sax solo is even better than this version from the album itself. Elton Dean and Lyn Dobson made a truly impressive duo.
Soft Machine esta,en el top five de las mas grandes bandas de jazz rock de todos los tiempos, gracias por regalarnos tan grato momento musical, saludos
11:05 when you nut and she keep sucking
bruh
Sandoz una droga tipo éxtasis y lsd ✌️☮️
Still great saw them play this at a free concert in Parliament Hill Fields circa 1969 love it.
May 18th 1969, along with Procol Harum and Yes, right? I believe it was the Camden Fringe Festival. Interesting piece of musical history for sure!
wow
Shame Daevid could not get a Work Visa - maybe he was too far out for the UK establishment
Magnifica versione. Immenso Robert Wyatt. Geniale, visionario...grazie x sempre Robert Wyatt. Grandissimo artista!!! ❤ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ EnzoItaly
A perfect amalgamation of psychedelic rock & avant garde. Brilliant!
And stolen from Davy Graham
5:59 does anyone know what keyboard was used here. It was either a pianet or lowrey organ
Lowrey organ for solos
@@martincellini alright thanks
Weird! This band has been on my mind lately: and i was hoping g both Manzanera and Robert Wyatt had vanquished their "communist" brainwash phase. Sick praising bloody tyrants
❤ hommage to terry riley by soft machine: my two favorites. Ps weird neat NOT from Thirds version. ?? hybrid
RW loved Motown its evident here
This is unique and eternal.
I love this song. The later reworking of it by Kevin Ayers on Dr Dream is also sublime.
Love this
Magnifica versione. Grazie, grazie.
Thanks!!
THANKS!!!
... ace ...
Thanks! Their sound was unique, this takes me back to those days when I was a young teen drummer discovering Soft Machine, Magic Mole, Caravan, National Health, Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream, Van Der Graf Generator, Weather Report, Gentle Giant, PFM, King Crimson, Yes, Return To Forever, and I thought progressive fusion would prevail, but then Disco happened!
Beautiful X
Who plays the sax ?
Elton D?
Dave Monaghan
A wonderful song. Dear Robert makes my day.
Beautiful acoustic guitar work!
I just loved they're music from the first time I heard them on John Peel. I loved it when I was 17 and still when I'm 70. Thank you John, without you I would have never known. You are sorely missed.
Similar experience. Robert wyatt has been an influence and love his music
Obscur psychedelic band at his best
Sembra un treno che marcia veloce, superando scambi, semafori (verdi) e piccole stazioni.
Utterly magnificent - Softs Third is unspeakably wonderful. Saw this line-up at the Colston Hall circa 1971. With Mahavishnu, a peerless band. Thnx for posting.
He's human but he plays like an angel 😇
Music from another world, love Robert ' s drumming, but everybody else ...they are all masters with their own instrument
Sublimi.
Nice piece. Thx
Bel brano
Good one.
'Glimpses' is also a great Jimmy Page era Yardbirds Brit Psych track from 'Little Games'
