Our battery banks didn't like being bounced around on their original solar trailer - punched a hole through the side by rubbing on battery box... now I am wanting to see the rest of the outside cells. I wonder how much rubbing took place before we got them.

I picked up a 380 amp hour 24 volt forklift battery I am wanting to just run my central air unit. It draws 11 amps at 230 With what I have setup I am able to to produce 8 amps 220 I am pulling 80 amps off the battery. In the daylight I have no trouble with my 3800 watts of panels. Just don’t know if I am ready to try it at night. I live in Ohio so the run time on the battery should only be 20 minutes out of an hour I think I would be pushing my little battery. But I plan on having fun with it

You really need to use the remote voltage sense cable for your tester. Otherwise voltage drop on the cables is going to cause your low voltage (2V) tests to end early. You can see on that test that the voltage starts off at about 1.75V. Probably about 0.25V voltage drop.

How do you recharge your battery bank if there is no sun for a week????....I did something a little crazy but it works......I used a 120Volt AC generator, connected a full wave bridge rectifier to the output to make it DC, attached a 1000uF/450 volt electrolytic capacitor , and dumped that power into the solar controller...sure enough that works.....be mindful that the solar controller has a DC voltage input of at least 200 volt as the rectified 120 VAC is 168VDC...it works like a charm... adjust your controller to lower amps to start and keep an eye on your generator output as you increase the amps going into the battery....cheers from Canada

I'm glad you're putting out these videos. When I did a search about ifla's all I really found was a guy in the uk and good old Troy with his used ifla (I would imagine most people in the group came across Troy at some point in their research).

If both batteries are 100Ah why do you say the AGM is twice the capacity of the LiFePO4?

We are using the biggest powerjack inverter off eBay 48v 15000w/60000w peak, it was new but the casing was bashed to fuck too 😂

Okay - your mechanic in a bottle leads me to a long research paper I read in regard to the Absolyte GX (VRLA) battery banks that Sandia Laboratories needed to "recover"... because your little bottle of goodness sounds EXACTLY like what they used and called "proprietary" to rehydrate the AGM cells to what they considered between 80% and 90% capacity...hmmmm🤔

Thinking to do this with the Absolyte GX batteries that we picked up and configure them into 48 volt. Not sure if they will release from the casing this easily. I have them on the ground in the sea container. Have to remember which side is positive/negative when re-positioning them. Do these cells have to be in the case or is it possible to leave them out of the casing without damaging them while in use?

Is your AIMS a 24 volt or 48 volt? I thought I heard you say 24 volt but I am unsure. My wife and I need power (off grid) and I am considering this unit for split phase power. I am absolutely a newbie to all of this. We have to supply power to our 50 Amp Service for our RV. Wondering if this unit will work for our purposes.

Just learned of these after we purchased (2) Absolyte GX (AGM)(VRLA)... wanted to go 48 volt but the racking on one is different than the other. Thinking to remove them from the casing and setting up without racking to get to 48v. Or - purchase a forklift battery. We are going off grid and I would rather have a 48v system with a ton of storage. Subscribed.

Thank you very much for your videos. I'm in east Tennessee. I prep for $33 trillion debt against $4 trillion revenue and not one balanced federal budget since 1957 to end the only way I think it can. I pulled the trigger on a 6,000 watt 24 volt inverter thanks to your first video and look forward to making as many forklift battery packs as I can for a grid down situation. I'd like to be able to power our house for days at a time off of batteries when needed, then use my 6,300 watt generator to power it while charging them back up. I want to add solar panels to it, later. I've already been prepping in several ways, for years. I was partners in a drag car in which we'd charge three 12 volt batteries in parallel with a trickle charger, then connect them in series for 36 volt starting. I want to do the two volt batteries the same way. 12 volts for grid up trickle charging, then 24 for powering the inverter/house.
