i also felt like they revealed the whole plot, but i appreciated it because 1. many people aren’t actually familiar with it, and this is a good way to give a summary while still (believe it or not) leaving out a TON of info that you’re not gonna want to miss out on! and 2. i have waited my whole life for this movie, and if i like get in a car wreck and die before november, im glad i got to see a generous glimpse. i’m not one to complain about “too much!” i always love more more more, so i don’t mind “spoilers”

How do you know if this "showed too much" if you have no idea what its about and havent seen or read the source material? Yall are free to your opinions but come on. This trailer just shows the basics but there's so much more to it. So no, you did not watch the whole movie. Also this is years before Harry Potter. Love when people say they "dont like" a movie when its not even out yet, and know nothing about it and dont watch it. And as far as "cash grabs" go, literally every movie/tv/sports event ect is a cash grab. People really think the entertainment business in it because they think it wont make them money? You dont have to watch something you dont have any interest in but you cant "not like" something if you dont see it and know nothing about it.

You guys are kinda jerks, right? It's."not cool"?....showed "way too much"? The novel was published in the 90-'s, 2 years before Harry Potter. And the the Broadway show has been running for 20 years (since 2003). The plot is well known, and is no mystery. It's a prequel to "The Wizard of OZ." It's a origin story of Glinda, and Elphaba( the wicked witch of the west.)

Wicked is a book series that was released in 1995 and is a prequel to the wizard of oz storyline. Then in 2003 it was adapted in to a broadway musical, and now they adapted the musical into a movie. Just fyi this is a two part movie 😂 and also I think they made the trailer so long because the wicked musical has been running for over 20 years and they wanted to please the theater “nerds” ❤❤❤

I know this is late. but in that Giant man head shot. Is, Azazel, Lady Death strike, Toad, Pyro, and Sabretooth. Since rights for X-Men returned to Marvel in '17 or '19 (forget when actually) This movie is going to re-open the X-Men universe back up for movies again. Of course also dropping Wade and Logan into the MCU as well. With all of the flops, because they've been relegated to backwater lesser tier comics to make movies of, getting X-Men movies spinning back up will be huge influx of cash. Now it won't just be Deadpool bringing money in (since Guardians is done) so they can continue making movies.

What I like about these changes, is that it is something that could have actually happened, since the books are written from the meisters perspectives and we have to take into account that a lot of them were green supporters, so there are things that maybe weren’t told or witnessed in the book, or things that were misinterpreted,so it is easier to make changes from a history book

Daemon has visenya sword not rhaenyra…the book for this was written from perspectives of 3 different people that wasn’t even there with the people and George has said multiple times that the book for this is from unreliable sources so we don’t know what actually happened until it’s confirmed.

OK okay yyyoooo. This isn't the first movie in the series. This is actually the 3rd movie, gentlemen! The first one came out in 2008.

Daemon choking Rhaenyra isn't technically in the books, but it's not necessarily out of character. The book is written as a history book, so we generally hear about the big events/moves like battles and deals being made along with some conflicting rumors about certain things. So Daemon choking Rhaenyra in a closed room isn't something that would make it into a history book. These characters are mostly empty husks without much characterization because of how the book is written, so I wouldn't say Daemon choking Rhaenyra is out of character when it comes to the Daemon they've created. The people complaining about it were mostly shippers who have an idealized image of their romance in their head.

I deeply despise that change of Rheanys committing mass murder, because the implications for that are big, while it felt was done just for spectacle and the original book moment is much better. But, involving the children and even Rhaenyra more, I think it can make the series more dynamic. I am glad you guys bring up this discussion. keep up with the good work.

how can something so full of bad writing, inconsistent tone and characters be the best show of the year? not to mention the lore mistakes and retcons since the show is canon and should held to a higher standard than a standard adaptation. one thing is the game elements are fine to put in as long as you make it consistent you can't make stimpacks work like in the game and then have a guy die of blood loss. or the Ghoul medicine? if it's needed for ghouls to survive how are there any pre-war ghouls? honestly, I would explain it but I feel like MauLer's video (Fallout: A World on Fire) explains it better than I ever could if you want a good show set in a game world that is cannon I would recommend Cyberpunk: Edgerunners
