This has to be someone's camp or summer place that's pretty clean and things are tidy I don't believe it's abandoned at all

You are in the valley below what used to be the 1st world war hospital, later to become Brindley Village, when the hospital was decommisioned after the war, local people were allowed to move into the old buidings, and a thriving community was built up, with a school etc. When the hospital was there, the waste sewerage went through settling tanks and the solids stayed in the tanks and the water went down to the 2 bases that you have found, they are circular because there was a thick bed of cinders laid down with a set of pipes about 4 inch diameter in the form of a cross, the middle of which was connected to the raised block in the middle of each circle , it was on a bearing of some sort so that it could rotate, there was a pole about 3foot high in the centre with cables down to the end of each pipe to support it and more cables connecting the ends to keep it stable. the end of the pipes were blocked, and holes drilled on an angle every few inches underneath the pipes, so that when the dirty water from the settling pits ran down more pipes to the centre, it built up pressure and the water in the cross pipes flowed out through the holes, with the holes being on an angle the water pressure turned the cross pipes and the water flowed through the cinders to clean it, from there it flowed down the valley and eventually into the River Trent at Rugeley.

Sleep on the floor? Outhouse? Beautiful location.

Places like this are great if your out hiking and need shelter.

I am originally from Cannock Chase with its many coalmines. Now in New Zealand, we were walking along a road in a deserted area, just trees and fields. I said to my wife "I can smell coal". She was disbelieving that coal has a smell. Further along, we came upon a railway line with a parked up coal train. My wife was converted.

Hi Luke at 5:33 in that area used During the 12th or 13th Century, a hunting lodge was established inside the fort and its foundations can still be made out

Pretty sure I've seen Elizabeth Gaskin's ghost....was walking in Hednesford Park one night, was walking near the steps leading to Tesco car park when I saw a strange white figure moving at the other end of the park near the skateboard area. Knew of the Gaskin murder so went online to see what they looked like, and one photo of Elizabeth Gaskin in a white dress looks scarily familiar to the white figure I saw
