Je viens d'acheter un ophicléide en C Wessex. Difficile à en jouer ! Mais j'ai réussi à jouer la gamme de do majeur le lendemain. J'espère que je vais en tirer quelque chose de satisfaisant car cet instrument m'a coûté une fortune : 4500 euros + 1100 de frais de douane !! Cette vidéo va beaucoup m'inspirer pour la qualité de l'expression ! Merci beaucoup, Igor ... ☺️

Really like that - the slim sound of this instrument seams to be somewhat reminiscent on a Renaissance trombone.

Interesting that the Bass bone was bringing off chords together, normally in a section the Principal does that, was that so that the Tubist could see it clearly too?

Il suono è molto simile a quello di un flicorno baritono.il suono è molto rotondo e scuro nel registro medio e acuto ma è afono nel registro grave .io non so' se dipende dallo strumento o dal musicista perché non ho mai sentito un oficleide suonato dal vivo da un professionista;se fosse colpa dello strumento sarebbe stata giusta la sua estinzione sostituendolocon la tuba che ha dei gravi molto sonori,rotondi,e non afoni;se invece non fosse così, l'oficleide sarebbe uno strumento che potrebbe dare dei nuovi impasti timbrici alle composizioni orchestrali ,proprio come si usava un tempo, e uno strumento da immettere in partiture nuove.
