In this example you paying 31.1% in tax to withdraw R25k. If you lucky you might only make that up after 3 years ( if you left that R25k in your pension it would have grown ). Only touch the 2 pot if its a matter of life or death, like if u starving for food or need and organ
Where are you gonna get a nett return of 15%in any economy currently
You're too sharp! Thank you.
Can I take all the money on both the two pot systems and start afresh?

Thanks for your input
What happens to your retirement pot if you decide to resign after September 2024.
You will be able to access your vested pot according to the current rules
I get it👍guys stop jumping about the 15% it's an example, thts why she's saying do your research /see a financial advisor. If you choose this road remember you will be paying foreign tax, if you invest in companies like Tesla etc, which is offshore . so do research and when you are done, do research again just for good measure , remember it's your hard earned money not a give away present for someone.
Glad you understand
Just checked my life cover that I have been paying for 2 years and I’m glad I saw this video today and not 40 years later 😅 This is so informative, thank you
I'm glad you found the video helpful!
10% is too small.. the government will profit more..
Hi Yolanda! I just want to find out about the difference between investing in Banks and investing in companies such as Discovery, Liberty, Old mutual ect. Can you get monthly income from investing and keep your original investment?
Hi I would like to have more info on this subject not sure how to contact you.

To get a 15% return per annum is highly unlikely.please show me which fund in the last 5 years grew at 15% per annum.
@@hanifhanifalli2359 it’s not one fund, it’s multiple funds, investment wrappers, market adaptations etc
I have taken out a life insurance since 2014 and now im almost 50. Im thinking of cancelling this and take out a savings policy instead
That's a tough one...if there is still a need for the cover, I wouldn't cancel
Are you able to move funds using 10c into retirement assets and thereby avoiding estate duty
You can, but there are other things to consider i.e liquidy, Reg 28, estate duty
Are you able to move funds using 10C into retirement assets and thereby avoiding estate duty
If I have a personal estate asset base of R10m. If I invest R6.5m into an endowment with kids as beneficiary. On death can I effectively reduce estate duty to NIL? Due to R3.5million abatement and R6.5m endowment won’t form part of dutiable estate?
@@Jad234 No executor’s fees will be charged on the payout on endowments, but the capital value will be included in the estate for estate duty calculations.
@@Jad234 also Endowments let you name beneficiaries who will directly receive the invested money when you pass away, without waiting for the estate to be settled. You can also name a beneficiary to inherit the investment and become the new policyholder.
@@Jad234 with an estate of 10M is hard to get rid of estate duty without planning in advance to reduce the tax, also look at last survivor benefits
👍 👍
Thank u so much Yolanda so much clear now I can make a better decision

Thank you for very informative videos. I have come across that not everyone have to join this 2 pot system, if one was 55 yrs or older on 1st of mar’21, can opt out or join this system till 1st sept’25. Does this mean that a one can resign and cash out their pension till September 2025? Kindly advise.
Hi which investments that have double digit do you recommend?
What about interest earned on investments come tax session?
@@James66662 different investments have different tax liabilities. You need to plan for that before you actually invest.

Really Lady ... what crap are you selling the audience !!! You are not telling the audience the salient costs by investing their money in 'alternative' products !!!
Oh I forgot to ask, can one make an appointment with you guys? Where are you guys based? Can you guys advise someone who has tons of money in the bank but has no idea about investing?
Thank you Yolanda for educating and informing us about everything financial. I just want to find out about bank investments.
