The Correct Sequence for Studying A&P

Often times when students are struggling with A&P it is because they aren't learning things in the correct order, or they are only studying what their professor is explicitly asking them to study without realizing that the other information in the chapter is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to understand before they can move on to what their professor wants them to learn.

Excellent video! You're a great teacher that makes things stick, thank you!
our professors only active during viva 😶
Idk how I passed A&P when I took it in uni a lonnnnng time ago. I definitely was not consistent and checked out on some sections. It’s been many years since then and I am reviewing the lab manual from front to back and looking up stuff that I don’t understand. I want to go vet school and figure that learning human A&P thoroughly would provide a good basis. I also have a mini flash card booklet and it helps me to review finer details on the go, but not a replacement for the lab manual and quality sitting down study time. I don’t think I developed good study habits in uni though, most of my science courses didn’t need it. If I had a particular hard course, I would take easier courses at the same time or take it by itself in summer school (like Organic Chem) and did really well. Now I want to develop those good study habits so I don’t flunk out of vet school. Anyway, I haven’t gotten to the Physiology part of the course yet but I will see how much I struggle. 🤷🏻
❤❤
Omg thank you so much for sharing this video with all of us! This really helped me for my upcoming lab practical/lab exam! You're a lifesaver!
Amazing video😊
I can tell which humerus is anterior or posterior based on the condyles and fossa, but I’m confused by the direction of the heads. I feel so silly asking this but it is a left humerus??
You're right, it's a left humerus. Don't feel silly for asking a question!
@@AnatomyHero Cool! 😅 My textbook always shows the right bone so I was thrown off a bit. Haha. Thanks for these videos. You have a calming voice btw.
great content!

My professors anatomy exams are killing me. His answers a, b, c, a &c , or all of the above.
My best advice is after your test, go back through your class materials...your professors notes, powerpoints, your book...and see if you can find the answers to the questions you missed to figure out what materials you need to be reviewing more thoroughly.
There is also R and rh- negative.
I'm not entirely certain what you're referring to ..but if you're referring to the part in the beginning where I'm talking about the three common antigens found in human blood, Rh negative is not an antigen. Rh negative means you DONT have an Rh antigen.
thank you so much for this ! i feel more prepared for our histology course next semester !

What is the difference between a suture and a fissure?
A fissure is an open crack. In the context of skeletal anatomy, there's only two I can think of: the superior and inferior orbital fissure. A suture is where two bones are "stitched together" by collagen fibers with no opening in between them. All the examples are in the skull.
@@AnatomyHeroThank you 🙏⭐
What is the difference between a fissure and a suture?
Is the bladder suspended in the pelvis?
Indeed it is.
I'm a guy. Is it OK for me to cry while taking anatomy. There's so many new concepts to absorb. The scientific terminology is all over the place.
Lots of people cry during anatomy...I know I did! It's a class that requires an incredible amount of time and effort. Half the battle is usually improving your academic skills...textbook reading, note taking, memorization... Just keep looking for ways to improve and you'll get there eventually!
@@AnatomyHero Thank you for your incredible advice.
I graduated with a degree in finance back in 2014. I'm now back in school to change careers to work in the medical field. I want to cry in anatomy. I'm not good at memorization.
Many students struggle with memorization at first, but it's something that you will get better at! This video gives a basic technique for memorizing terms... czcams.com/video/5MXa4IE_ixQ/video.html This video explains how to break down terms to understand their meaning: czcams.com/video/1ZbwFy1teUE/video.html Also, if you are taking an accelerated summer course...it might be too much no matter what you do. Making memories is a physical process that is occurring in your brain...and it requires time. If you find it's too much, just take it in the fall!
You’re a blessing!! I learned this in one day , as opposed to a dam week !! I was so confused and now I’m grateful! I’m sticking around here til my summer class is over!!
You really are a hero i am crying taking my summer class feeling like im going to fail i swear you and crash course are the only things keeping my sanity alive
Thank you for the great content and quizzes! I was struggling to understand with my AP teacher but you broke it down so well!
The way I have an exam today and this video helped my entire understanding!
