All attacks except the standing R1 come out faster. Even the dashing attack comes out faster and actually does more damage than standing still and shooting. You also get quicker shots upon landing after being in the air, you can get off a jump shot and a landing shot in probably the same time it takes for a standing R1. Also barrage AOW is better until you get some of the special bows

If ypur playing the dlc the throwable daggers might suit you they do decent damage and are wayy quicker than the bow

Using bows was a no way back experience for me, too good for all melee builds, specially quality builds
