NCBI Bookshelf: Advanced Searching
Specify your fields to build an Advanced Search of the Bookshelf. In this example, we look for a comparative effectiveness review by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality on treatments for Alzheimer’s-type dementia.
NCBI Bookshelf: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/
To learn more about National Library of Medicine resources, see learn.nlm.nih.gov/.
Transcript:
If you would like to specify your search fields or otherwise conduct a highly controlled search of the Bookshelf, click the Advanced link under the Search box.
For example, let’s say that we heard that the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality or AHRQ conducted a comparative effectiveness review on treatments for Alzheimer’s-type dementia and we want to find it on the Bookshelf.
We can use the Search Builder to construct our search.
We know we want a work by AHRQ so we can use the field selection box to select Publisher.
Start typing the word or phrase into the entry box, in this case, Agency for Healthcare…
Then click Show index list to display the terms that are in Bookshelf within that field.
The number in parentheses after the term is the number of records that include this term in the Bookshelf.
We’ll click Agency for healthcare research and quality to add this to our search.
Now let’s add Alzheimer’s as a word in the title.
In the second row of the search builder, select Title from the field selection box.
Note that each search component is added with an AND unless you choose otherwise.
Enter the word alzheimer’s
And click the Search button.
Our results include the comparative effectiveness review published by AHRQ with Alzheimer’s in the title.

In Germany was the Lobotomie forrbidden concern another countries USA England Sweden Russia etc😅
This may be the most serious role by Bill Scott I've ever seen. Scott could be self-effacing about his vocal work done before that for Jay Ward. It bemuses me that he's given onscreen credit for this, but not for his vocal work for Ward at all. If I recall correctly, he went uncredited as a voice actor (and writer) because he was already being credited as a producer, and wanted to look slightly more modest.
Around 27:00 he says we have to protect ourselves from too many contacts and social roles, makes me think the internet and social media is something this guy never envisioned, and he wouldn't have thought it was benign haha
Everyone wants to be seen, wanted, heard and loved. She’s not feeling any of these from her husband and he think e going to work and providing for his family is him showing love for her. I give her props for seeking help because he doesn’t seem very supportive (I’m sure some has to do with the times and the way he was raised) Hopefully they were able to work together and hear each others wants and needs.
Can this virus be airborne? My friend from failed.state is asking
He should have paid attention to the movie Hanzel and Regretal.
Was she having a seizure?
I can't help but wonder how many of the people in this video had some type or kind of lobotomies though.
So that's why they moved to Green Acres 😮
What the actual fuck
This is very barbaric

Do we have permission from the War Department to watch this??
How old is she
Its obvious by the tests and observations they are focusing on, such as the resistance to hand pulling and arguing. They are not focusing on "curing" the mental illness, but making them an easy patient.
These are actors, right? I would almost swear that the husband was on Seinfeld once as the head of the bra sales department when George applied for a job.
I had to watch this video alone when went to rehab about 25 years ago. I drank for a while on and off after I left there but I quit drinking around 15 years ago. I might have a drink or two every once in a great while . I decided alcohol and I don’t get along and don’t even think about it anymore . I think everyone should watch this video.
Ricketts is especially prevalent in those children with darker skins but ALL will have been adversely affected by Vovid House arrest, sorry, I meant lockdowns that destroyed lives and business far more effectively than if they had been bombed.
Why did they have so many rotten eggs back then???

According to animation historian Keith Scott, two of the cast members are Bill and Dorothy Scott (no relation to Keith). Bill Scott was a writer for UPA at the time of this short. Years later, he teamed up with Jay Ward and developed Rocky and Bullwinkle, among other series. Not only was he a co-producer and the head writer, but he played Bullwinkle J. Moose, Mr. Peabody, Dudley Do-Right, George of the Jungle, Super Chicken, Tom Slick, and other assorted characters. Dorothy Scott did voicework for a few episodes of Peabody's Improbable History: Lucrezia Borgia in "Lucrezia Borgia," Queen Elizabeth in "Sir Walter Raleigh," and Annie Oakley in "Annie Oakley".
the voices in recordings from these years are truly iconic

For the people criticizing "the beautiful ones" -- don't mistake these individuals as analogous to our celebrities or to young people in college not wanting to socialize and sitting on their phones all day. People are too hung up on the "not socializing" part or the "beautiful" part and can't see what's really going on there. They are individuals who have seceded from culture in light of it having collapsed. I am one of them. I spend my days cooking good food, taking care of my health and my mind, and staying away from other people. We pared our life down so that our expenses are low enough that I don't need to work anymore because I'm burned out. I spent 30 years hustling and trying to "make it" and I crashed. My husband and I both found a way to escape being constantly bitten, scrapped at, and attacked by pointless tribal infighting. We're not on either "side" of any of the big issues and have retreated into reading old books by people who lived before everything went to hell, to try to recapture some of that for our own personal sanity. There's nothing wrong with wanting to do this. Everybody else could climb up to the upper apartments, too, if they wanted to, and take care of themselves, rather than crowding into pointless tribes and fighting for no reason. They just aren't, and that's not my fault. I just wanted to stop feeling so horrible all the time. Yes, it's true that we probably can't handle any kind of real stress. That's why we set our lives up so we don't have a lot of it, and we count our blessings. Our body's stress-handling mechanisms are fried from a lifetime of being herded and managed. This comment will probably get buried under all the other bullshit but that's sort of what I've come to expect.

And the medical community is destroying lives today with support of many fools. Encouraging and destroying lives of children and young adults. The damage is in our faces. My guess is it’s going to take several years for the medical community and their foolish followers to figure it out. The “doctors” will go unpunished and continue to practice and the fools will sit silent.
This at its time was deemed remarkable and the cure all for so many things. Which serves to say. What are we doing now, even with all that we know, that will be deemed as inhumane and horrible in the future?
Rabies is no joke. Crazy. Thank god there is a vacine for that shit
