I think it was a great deal to! I actually think wood furniture is beautiful, I am not against painted but I usually prefer the more "natural" look of the wood, I love seeing the details of the grains and knots. I agree with you as well, I think paint is great if you have a piece that is damaged but want to still preserve it for use! I try to use a wood cleaner or polish to keep my wood beautiful and healthy looking :). I definitely need to get some coffee table books! I will keep my eye out for some, I agree to on keeping things lower on the table, I will be trying to figure out what I want on there. I actually thought of adding a lamp to my end table as well! I want to find one that suits the style of my living room. I can understand needing to be careful with animals, one reason that I have so many washable rugs is that it is easier to keep them up since Sammy brings in so much dust from outside and his shedding hair, we love him so much though I don't mind, I just am thankful for washable things for sure! I think it was a great deal to! The legs and trim details are actually what drew me to them in the first place. Thank you! I love the tea tray as well, I was so excited to find it. I definitely need to find some coffee table books, I thought about putting my large Bible there but we eat and drink in the Living Room often so I was worried about accidentally spilling stuff on it, I REALLY love my Bible and want to be careful with it lol. I definitely want to add a lamp to my side table! I need to keep my eye out for one. I completely understand living with others! We stayed with my sister and brother-in-law for about a year before we got our home, I watched videos and looked on Pinterest all the time for home ideas to prepare for when I had a house someday :). Dog hair is just a part of our home to! Sammy sheds so much, I feel like he should be bald at this point he has so much to shed off lol. Keeping the floor clean here is also quite a job! @@dearmikaila Like I said you'll think of something & it'll be just perfect! Understand about the bible & don't blame you! I actually thrifted coffee table books with pictures that i can take out & frame.. several Currier & Ives, a big one with all sorts of antiques, several others.. so they kind of serve 2 purposes. They have a robot vac too & it helps but not near enough for me😄 We hope to not be here for me than 9mths, we're just praying. We were actually planning on a year so we could really save up, but since we now have the 2 grandbabies its just a lot! The only have 3brms.. theirs, the nursery for their 11mth old & the one we're in. Thank God they have a nice garage where we can keep things & a sectional that turns into a queen bed.. or we'd be in t real trouble😬 We'll take a simple 2bd right now, but if the Lord blesses, a 3bd would be amazing!😉

Prints can get expensive, especially if you get larger ones. I am going to keep praying that you find a home! My sister had my niece and one on the way when we lived with them so I understand the chaos of a full household! It’s a lot lol. Let’s pray for that 3 bedroom! Yes! The light on lamps is so cozy and comforting, I love how they feel! I would love to have one of those oil lamps that are electric, I love how old oil lamps look but I am afraid of using kerosene in my house lol. That would be such a pretty video though! 🥰. I live in Arkansas and our nights don’t get very cold much either, we usually get 30s and 40s and maybe a few days per winter where it’s below 10 degrees. I love making my own detergent! It saves money and it’s non-toxic, I use baking soda, washing soda, Epsom salt, sea salt, and essential oils, that’s it! I’ll have to make a video sharing it sometime 🥰. @@dearmikaila Aww week thank you!! That's sweet that my thought & opinions matter!😊 Honestly I just want to help in any way i can, even if its just San opinion! Yeah, my grandma would burn the kerosene lamps when i was little, if we lost power. I just always thought the were beautiful! Then when my FIL passed several years ago he had a small collection & my husbands baby brothers wife & I split them. There were large& small ones. Then as they would come thru donations to the thrift store we owned in TN, I would take the pretty ones home! I don't even put oil or kerosene in mine, some don't even have a wick and some are med sized, some very small. But my electric one has a brass base, a hobnail milk glass bowl & the clear glass globe..i have one of the amber LED bulbs in it & honestly its sooo pretty! That's my secondary lamp in my bedroom. My main lamp has the brass tea pot base with the hobnail milk glass round, shade & the hurricane globe sticking out of it.. its like the "touch of class" lamp on top.. its my oldest & most prized lamp! It was A bit pricey & a gift from my hubby😊 I want one of the complete "touch of class" lamps with florals & crystals on it! I just think they're an elegant & classic antique lamp. I just really enjoy collecting old lamps, and alot of mine are smaller ones. You can find the electric oil lamps in antique stores sometimes that aren't expensive, I've seen them $25-40. We'll have to pray you one up😉😄 I just enjoy talking to someone that shares love for the same things i do!😊

How cool to have gotten some of those lamps! My Mom has one from my Great Grandpa I believe but she just keeps it for decoration 🥰. I am definitely praying for one of those lamps! I would love to have one. I love having someone to talk with about old stuff to! I enjoy vintage items and history so much! I have been using the Google lens for searching up stuff and wow it’s fun to look at all the unique things I find! It’s like a treasure hunt lol

@@skye4743 yes, it is irresistible! Fall and Christmas are my favorite seasons to decorate for. I heard they start there Christmas stuff early so that all of the crafters can get started on their projects, I kind of want to try making a Fall wreath but I dont know how it would turn out 🤷🏻‍♀️

@dearmikaila I feel the same. I like the idea of it, but I'm more arty than crafty. I'd likely watch a CZcams for the basics and then use my imagination for the rest. Maybe you could try it and make an inspiring CZcams about your process. 😊

I was actually not happy with that wall but am going to have to thrift some more for pieces that I will like there, I realized while I was decorating that I needed more things! Thank you for the tip! I'll remember that for future projects. I actually use push pins for light stuff and I use nails or screws for heavier things, I just use my little hammer to get the push pins in so that way it doesn't hurt my fingers lol
