First heard this song in the Spring of 1982 on KROQ, a southern California alternative radio station. Their premier DJ, Rodney Bingenheimer, played all the new and upcoming English bands back then. I can't believe it's been over 40 years.......In Shreds is still a classic!

Takes me back to being 26 and driving down to Hastings, which was just over 30 miles away.

Cabaret Voltaire were industrial synth pioneers as were other local bands early Human League & The Naughtiest Girl Was A Monitor, takes me back to when the steel industry in Sheffield was in turmoil with factories closing down, the Don Valley where I grew up was desolate, no more forge hammers or furnaces lighting up the sky it was so eerie & quiet this music reflects those times, I will never forget that, there was a romantasim about it I cannot explain. RIP Richard x

It's quite slow and plodding and as a massive Moz fan I'm not sure it deserves all that much attention really. It could do with a little rearranging, maybe another producer giving it a little more oomph and emotion. It's just a little flat. I get the other views here but I would not choose to play this above any other Moz effort.

Impossible to consider so much music to come without this, and them...
