1. this is not a bivalve, but a gastropod shell 2. the name 'Naticadae guilding' does not exist There does exist a group named Naticinae, created by a Mr. Guilding in 1834, to which this gastropod may well belong.
Without a doubt this is not a Chamelea striatula, and in fact it looks more like a different Venerid or even a member of an alltogether different group like a Lucinid. This would be easily determined by the condition of the hinge as well as the presence or absence of a pallial sinus.
We are going with Lucinid. Thx.
This is not a bivalve but a gastropod shell, and it is certainly not of the genus Nassarius.
This is a gastropod shell, not that of a bivalve. The name given is plausible but hard to verify.
This is a gastropod, not a bivalve, and the name given for it does not appear to exist.
1. this is not a bivalve shell, it is that of a gastropod 2. this is definitely not Nassarius reticosus, which has a very noticeable rough texture
This is definitely not Tellina fabula (Fabulina fabula today), but without seeing the hinge and pallial sinus it is impossible to identify. Might be some sort of trough shell/Mactridae? The visible growth rings and general shape match, but many groups have members which approach this bauplan. F. fabula are not very convex, with a characteristic elongated shape and only a tiny hinge which does not have a prominent rounded umbo like this bivalve does.
1. not a bivalve. This is a gastropod 2. the name Nattica crassa does not exist 3. the name Natica crassa Does exist, but does not apply to this snail I'm no expert on gastropoda, but this looks to me like a small neogastropod
This one is our mistake. It is indeed a gastropod on our website, but wrote here bivalve. Just like jn0061-17, also a gastropod and not a bivalve. It has been rectified. We also misspelled Natica. True, this one is not correct. It is more Nassarius gastropod. Thankfully you know your business and helped us out. After 6 months . Thank you.
Honestly doesn't look like Chamelea striatula at all (too convex, not a pronounced enough angle in front of the umbo etc). More like a Venus nux or even an Arctica islandica in very bad condition. Hard to tell if the lamellae are just a symptom of geological processes & impossible to positively ID such a shell without seeing the hinge. Definitely not C. striatula though
Thank you, Frieda. We will check your remark and adjust the identification.
Dear Frieda, we agree with your remark. We adapted the video and our website. Thank you very much with your insight. We will look into the other too. 🤝👏

Nothing is pre historic because it's all history
Hello, the term prehistoric means it was a time before mankind had any writing. But you are right too. All is part of history. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
