The part about the foot size to width of board finally connected the dots for me on what Matt Parker was talking about his XO colab. Going to try thinking of my top turns as a kick (I think that’s what he was saying) and the trailing arm like dunking a basketball? (Just before kicking the back foot) We could all use a Francisco in our lives 😊
I think I got the basketball thing: it’s like cross dribbling from trailing hand side across the body to the leading hand side. Is that motion (throwing your trailing - left hand - across your body) for pumping or top turns? Or both?

What surfskate is that? all the surf drills being shared here are awesome
I use carver C7 wheels and the MapTecnica board (on IG they are map_tecnica_surf) for the surface! I love the MapTecnica board because it allows you to get a wider stance vs a traditional surfskate - therefore replicating better what you do on land. I am so glad you love the drills being shared! many more to come!
@@thebraitlife the length for stance is exactly why I asked. Every time I go out after surf skating my feet are so close and wonky. Would love to see more surf training and exercises. Not enough content like that - usually just ppl talking about it
