just watched gazza's podcast with gary linekar, what a one-off. for rangers fans, how does he rank in the fans best ever? just interested, i think he was a genius.
If he played in the midern game he would be up there with Messi as one of the best ever. The way footballers are looked after both mentally and physically by clubs these days he wouldnt of got into the troubles off the pitch that he did
In fairness he played half a dozen times for Man U at the end of his career. He went to Barca after Celtic and setup 2 goals to win Champions League final
Even when he was at Newcastle both Liverpool and Manchester United rejected him, after Lazio he was reduced to Scottish football playing in front of 5,000 people
What a load of shite . Scotland has some of the highest attendances in football per capita in Europe . Even more so back in the 90’s crowds were even bigger . Back then the actual difference in football between the English and Scottish leagues wasn’t what it is now either . EPL is was in its infancy and Celtic and Rangers rarely lost to English teams when they played in Europe. Hence why the English star player of Euro 96 was playing in Glasgow. Would never happen now though .
No they were not . Where are you getting this shite from . The away attendances were larger . Back then provincial clubs had larger support compared to nowadays. The average attendance away attendance for a Rangers or Celtic game in 1995 was 18000. Somewhat larger than the number you quoted.
What a privilege to have seen Gascoigne and ladrup on the pitch together the goals that he scored against Aberdeen to make it 8 in a row were brilliant right behind the goals that day
His strength, balance and change of pace were overlooked too. He'd slow down, take a knock then sprint away or change direction. Simple but genius. Nightmare for a defender, you can't knock him off the ball, you can't out pace him over ten yards and he only needed one yard to shoot. His body position and use of both feet always protected the ball and if you did get the ball he'd be on you like a rash getting it back. Proper number 8. Legend of a player
Despite that horrific injury Gazza still had an incredible burst of speed and once he got the ball, his strength made it almost impossible to retrieve it from him .
Didn't excel in Serie A and played for Everton at the end of his career in the epl and did nothing. He did well in Scotland but he Cherry picked a league he could do stuff in @@darrenagnew7098
Gazza played the same way against whoever was in front of him. He was unstoppable and handicapped himself with booze just to make a fair game of it.. but to be fair, he has said he couldve played in Scotland with his eyes closed.. If it weren't for the English press he probably would've gone back to the prem, but Glasgow was perfect for him to enjoy playing again.
Missing some other goals. He scored a wunnerful goal away to Luton I think where he juggled the ball through two players and tucked it away and laid on his back celebrating and Waddle put a foot on his chest. They were brilliant together! Edit found it czcams.com/video/v8MWFs7vDfQ/video.html
Waddle to Gasgoin ? I thought Spurs sold waddle as soon as they signed Gazza, my memory is truly awful, apparently they played together for a whole season before Waddle moved on 🤷🏻♂️
Scored a beauty vs Maradona’s Sevilla playing for Lazio I think; it was a friendly to mark Maradona’s arrival at Sevilla. Beat 3 or 4 and passed into the back of the net. Also a couple of others where he beat 3 or 4, but I haven’t been able to find the videos.

I think Gazza played his best and enjoyed his football most at Rangers. It's where he felt loved and will always be a legend at the club. 🎉
Michael Thomas pass to Fowler is better than any De-Byrne pass
You rarely see central midfield players running and taking oppents on in the middle of the park. He was ultra confident and his ability backed him up
An ebt cheat!!!
Çok profesyonel
Brilliant player 👏
Brilliant player and one of our very best but at 5:28 looks miles off-side for this one. Rubbed-out these days by boring VAR. Great goal of course.

I'm a Newcastle fan and I've always loved Gascoigne but I bet the Scottish love him even more...he's like an English Maradonna.
Larson banged them in for Celtic, went to England and couldn’t hit a barn door
In fairness he played half a dozen times for Man U at the end of his career. He went to Barca after Celtic and setup 2 goals to win Champions League final
What are you talking about? He was pure class in the handful of games he played down south. Aged 35
Absolute legend if only he'd of stayed of the sherbet. He always brought something special to a game!
Class two footed
Even when he was at Newcastle both Liverpool and Manchester United rejected him, after Lazio he was reduced to Scottish football playing in front of 5,000 people

Utter nonsense, do you people just comment without thinking ?
@@paulwilliammurphy1327 The away attendances were tiny

@@paulwilliammurphy1327 A massive come down after playing in the Rome derbies is playing in the Scottish Premier for Rangers
Raw talent alone no English player comes close ever to Paul Gascoigne. Some of the quick thinking and trickery he had back then was crazy.

Sad what he’s become. He was likea young kid playing with his mates in the park. Fantastic player
Remember that we'll I was there that day
What a player he was for us!
90's Gers at its best. Had some great players, Laudrup was special, and then Gazza arrived. Best I have seen at Rangers.
Wasted at a crap club like rangers
When he came back from Italy playing in Scotland was a criminal waste of his talent.
guy wis/is an alkie and still rattled them in for fun. Jealous prick
Genious and class
What a player 👏
What's even more impressive than Gazza... That has to be the worst professional pitch I have ever seen in my life. Good Lord.
Alcy alcy
Pity he wasted his career at rangers

Green eyed monster 😅
Rangers could be Doing with him now
Farmers league Even Madjid biugherra Can do that
Used to come into the BRIDGE, pub on Dane road sale.
I didn't realise how 2-footed he was. Excellent with his left
He was a nightmare for defenders. He could feint off either foot and work space for a shot quite effortlessly. His close control was also superb

Got to love Gaza.
E molti drink prima della partita......grande gazaa .....genio sregolatezza
The sad thing about the modern game is that there is no standout player with the skill to take players on and dribble round them.
What a player ❤
a tatabányai bűvész
Incredible how fast he ran with the Ball.
At the time he was accused of not having pace. Ridiculous!!
Like watching division 2
Legend ,best ever
I love his goal celebrations
Despite that horrific injury Gazza still had an incredible burst of speed and once he got the ball, his strength made it almost impossible to retrieve it from him .

De tovenaar van tatabanja always mr feyenoord
he bullied defenders very strong guy
Neville & Schmeichal must have had nightmares before playing against Fowler.

watching Gascoigne bang them goals in there, I couldn't help but be reminded of brasilian Ronaldo, R9
Yes it may sound ridiculous but early Gazza and Ronaldo had the same kind of body strengh. Especially when facing defenders
