    They got delicious fruit they are native to the americas and they wont burn until someone burns it with a lighter and only when the tree is young because the dry leaves should be removed if they stay and someone burns it then yes they can burn like any tree in the world

    Thankyou SO much!! I knew something was off with the pruning and shaping of it into a tree-! My grandmas was left alone for decades and looked kind of like those toy fiber optic things? The old dead branches acted like a support. It was over 20 ft tall easily! It was this dense forest inside and when fruiting arched so far and wide down to the ground!! It was magnificent!!!

    Why would you cut off all the good vertical growth? Your pruning will continue to influence it to grow like a bush, if thats what you prefer i get it, but that new wood you cut off would produce new fruit and leaf buds too. Its acting like a bush due to your pruning. No hate. Peace.

    • @GardenwithAshley
      @GardenwithAshley Před 6 měsíci

      I followed the advice from the classic book “How to Prune Fruit Trees.” That’s true, that new wood would produce fruit in 2025. The goal is to open it up in the middle to let in as much sunlight as possible. It grows like a fountain, so vertical branches don’t contribute to the overall shape of the tree.

    • @cagrowin1962
      @cagrowin1962 Před 6 měsíci

      @@GardenwithAshley i get that, but utilizing those fresh vertical branches would probably be the better long term solutuon to a more opened center , and then in the peak of the fruit season, when everything is at its heaviest, the tree is least likely to break off cruicial branches. I farm almonds in california and specialize in tree shaping and pruning of all our orchards. Either way, nice work on your part.

    • @GardenwithAshley
      @GardenwithAshley Před 6 měsíci

      I appreciate your comments. In Jan 2023 I left all vertical branches grow as is and there was a lot less fruit and they were also smaller. I do test out different methods. Backyard pruning is different than commercial because we don’t have to factor in “cost of picking.”

    • @cagrowin1962
      @cagrowin1962 Před 6 měsíci

      @@GardenwithAshley yea i can see that, my approach would be a longer term approach. Do you thin the fruit at all? If not, the tree is not there yet as far as nutrition. My neighbors pom trees are so loaded they dont getbthat big, when he thins them, theyre mich bigger. If youre npt thinning, i wouldnt worry about pruning id take a soil samplr and see what you learn. If you want even more data, take a leaf tissue sample at the same time as soil sample and you could learn alot. Ps, other farmers say about me is watch out, he cuts off alot. True story. I was taught to prune a tree like raising a child. Dont let it do anything you dont want it to do. My fruit trees catch a pretty good cut everyyear and makr more than we can stuff in jars. Laugh.

    I think the person was asking how they even come into existence in the first place. The answer is actually very interesting. Seedless grapes have a genetic mutation that doesn’t allow the seeds to fully form inside the fruit so you get a little speck where the seed should have been.

    • @TheSunkissedmein2000
      @TheSunkissedmein2000 Před 6 měsíci

      But you have to soak the stem in chemicals made by man for it to grow seedless

    • @TheSunkissedmein2000
      @TheSunkissedmein2000 Před 6 měsíci

      So no it's not a natural genetic mutation

    • @Garden-Oasis
      @Garden-Oasis Před 5 měsíci

      @@TheSunkissedmein2000 what chemical? Who told you that? As far as I know, new cultivars are made by using the pollen of a seedless variety (since it’s incapable of making seeds it can only be a pollen parent) and using that pollen to fertilize another variety that does make seeds but is a carrier of the seedless trait meaning one of its parents was a seedless variety. The seedlings are then grown out and only a few of those seedlings will have inherited the genetic defect since the seedless trait is recessive. It takes a long time to find a seedling that has the kind of grapes you want AND is seedless.

    • @TheSunkissedmein2000

    • @Garden-Oasis
      @Garden-Oasis Před 5 měsíci

      @@TheSunkissedmein2000 they are as natural as any other genetic mutation. It’s just a mutation that doesn’t allow the seed to form the hard outer coating. The actual “seeds” do form just not the outer shell. This genetic “defect” would have died off with the original plant if the breeder hadn’t noticed it and cultivated it. Someone has lied to you about chemicals lol. I’m telling you, google it. 😄
