These last few episodes have made me wonder if the FL sees Momo in a romantic light at all. Momo definitely feels that way towards her, but is beginning to see that this arrangement is not working for him anymore. He loves her but the relationship has become more codependent at his expense. Frankly it’s been hard to watch. Like where do her issues end and his begin? He’s still so young after all and has a whole life to live. But he’s trying to consider her emotional well being and that’s noble. I just hope he doesn’t dig himself in too deep. 😢

This episode made me so frustrated istg, both Kotoko and Naoki dont know how to deal with misunderstandings, like have a proper communication and tell each other what's making you upset, kotoko trusts anything people tell her and she basically doesnt use her common sense, she jumps directly to conclusions, and she feels weak infront of other girls bcuz she belittles herself alot so she needs to work on her confidence bcuz as naoki said he chose her out of everyone, on the other hand, naoki DID in fact give her many reasons to doubt him, like why does he let every girl touch him and flirt with him that way, he knows how insecure kotoko is he should put limits from the beginning and learn how to express himself. So yeah their problem is lack of communication

Oh my God, he just went and chose a wedding hall and a date by himself without consulting her. Is that love? Is he getting married alone? Sure, if he's gonna marry himself, but that's not the case. He keeps on proving how selfish he is. Another plus point for Maki. She makes an effort to travel and visit Ren, something Yo can't even do for who she calls as her "most precious best friend". Yo didn't learn any lesson from Aoe's experience from the previous episode. Her message to Ren saying "I'll be happy for sure" is so stupid and naive. Girl, wake up, there's no such guarantee in life, okay. People who got married for love sometimes end up in divorce.

This drama started going bad halfway because of Yo getting back with Ryusei, this is when she started getting stupid then additional annoyance factor from Ryusei's manipulative character. What a downward character development for Yo, the Korean character was nothing like this. In the Korean remake (2015), I really wanted Hana & Won to end up together because she stood up for him, but in this, I feel like Yo doesn't deserve Ren at all. But I particularly commend the maturity and character development of Maki and Narumi who both end up being more mature than Yo and Ryusei who are older than them. I specifically like Narumi's advice to Yo, that if she doesn't like Ren romantically then she shouldn't be acting that way towards him. Narumi made use of a good example as well by citing Yo's colleague and ex-bf, in which she said she isn't awkward with him coz she doesn't like him that way.

If Yo even has a tiny bit of self-awareness left since she decided to try again with Ryusei, she should realize and learn from Aoe's experience. It's even more complicated with her since she has a child. I specifically like what she said about "adding another opponent to battle" and how she got married seeking refuge and realizing that as a wrong decision because she can't find comfort in her marriage and from her husband (who's very much like Ryusei) who keeps saying "just quit your job, it's not a big deal", which shows he doesn't care about what makes her happy. This conversation between Aoe and Yo shows that what happened to her after marriage is already happening to Yo when she and Ryusei aren't even married yet, which should really bother her. I don't recall being pissed off like this with Ryusei's character in the Korean remake. And I was not annoyed with Hana (Yo's character) in the Korean remake as well, she wasn't this stupid not to see the red flags. Yo keeps letting people push her around and tolerates that guy who keeps bullying her. Now she needs Ren's help and yet she couldn't see him off before he left, she couldn't even call him to say hello -- all because she's only thinking about how she feels. Wow, she's almost as selfish as Ryusei. Crap, why should Ren care about your asshole of a boyfriend?! Yo even has to involve the help of Yang and Shurei because clearly she needs the help of people who speak Chinese and also Shurei's connection to the police department. She should be grateful to all three of them.
