Magic Doesn't Die: Meet Camille
When I started working with Camille a year ago, she struggled with chronic low back pain and instability. Once she started making progress in recovering out of low back pain, we decided to start training for a powerlifting competition... we almost called it quits when we couldn't find one to compete in. I decided to host a non-sanctioned meet at the gym that I train out of, and she knocked it out the park.
In under a year, she managed to go from injured, to lifting 210# in the back squat and 265# in the deadlift. We're just getting started.

My principles: 1. Bracing - how do you control your core and air pressure to minimize spinal movement and strengthen spinal musculature? 2. Lumbar and thoracic movement loading (most important) - these babies are sensitive but require some extra love. Nothing will strengthen your back like purposefully initiating extension, flexion, and and twisting. 3. Ankle, Knee, Hip - these guys are probably weak (tight) so strengthening them will help your case significantly.
