Here is North Farm Horton using their new 16 row 12M Geringhoff maize header to harvest their maize grain. They cut at 12m widths to reduce compaction in fields aided by using tracked machiney for combining, cultitating and drilling wheat in behind the combine all done also at 12m widths to keep with their controlled traffic management. Yeah all mainly local stuff. Travel further if its something I'm interested in filming.
@@markcrossland do you speak to the farms at all to gain access or know what they are doing? Me and my lad spent a few days last year watching thr maize harvest just out of yeovil.
@@Jam3z7 I usually get messaged by the farmers/contractors carrying out the work asking me to come out and if I can fit them in will head out and film it.
@@markcrossland ah thats cool. We are planning on venturing out to North farm horton in summer for the harvest.

I watch this video and then see another one where a potato farmer threw away 700 tons of potatoes because there was no market for them with COVID. Which one is lying?
Neither is lying. A lot of the potatoes harvested here were presold to a supplier before they were harvested. A lot of farmers have not been as lucky.
