Our 9th 5 players level party OTK'd 5e Balor before it even got a turn. Context: We have 2 fighters who went NOVA on it.
shouldn't this just have been d&d dracolich vs pathfinder ravener?
I'm playing a Psi warrior from Urik in Ravenloft right now! Whoever sent these mists into my Lords domain. Will regret it!
I'm currently playing a half-elf Gloomstalker and intend switching to Rogue for Assassin. I see the case for Gloomstalker 7/ Assassin 13 for the additional d6 Sneak damage but going Ranger 8 / Rogue 12 provides an additional feat. Did you consider this for your build?
Agreed 💯 what background is that with the red borg from Tia

This was bittersweet for me. Agis is my favorite character I was really looking forward to this book. Upon reflection Agis does not have any solo victories with the exception of 1 incident. In The previous two books Rikis and Sadira overcome a lot of obstacles on their own with skills or magic. I feel it was the author’s way of not favoring the male human who would usually receive the lion’s share of the story. I guess it also sets the final book to be more interesting and avoids predictable theories.
Hey guys, thanks for taking time out to talk about these books. I first bought them back in the 90’s. Always loved them.
Get 40 seconds and you say my favorite book in the series is your least favorite😂lol
Wizards are more common than trees on Athas, so they make for a quite convenient firewood surrogate...
6th level paladin 14th level sword bard is one of if not the best builds in the game if you can pull it off. You have high AC, high damage, high saving throws, great skill proficiencies, great healing, good HP after the tough feat, and basically everything a character could possibly need. You are effectively the entire party rolled into one shiny death machine. Did I mention your a 9th level caster because you are even though you can cast 9th level spells.
So, I ran the calculations, and dueling fighting style with all of your buffs active ends up getting you around 30 to 35 DPR every round by 20th level assuming a 60% accuracy which is practically in line with the standard DPR baseline which isn't that great in the grand scheme of things. Altogether, the damage isn't actually that good you do have very high AC which is always good to have, and you have plenty of skills to rely upon outside of combat. Ultimately, it is still a very good build, but it's far from perfect.
As if concentrating means you are concentrating. It’s the same thing.
Rouge is weak multiclass? I disagree fully. It's my most common multiclass, everyone gets better with 1 to 3 levels in Rouge.
Can illusory creature attack on the turn its created?
I subscribed and liked this video. I notice it was done 2 years ago. You are a man ahead of your time. I have watched a lot of bladesinger videos. The only thing I can see that you missed was Spirit Shroud and that you have 2 attacks at 6th level and one of those can be a cantrip. Normally blade ward is not a bonus action, but you can attack once and cast blade ward (making you take half damage on weapon attacks). Thank you so much for your video!
Maybe Simic Hybrid for a +1 AC
For me, D&D 5th was a devolution back, while 4e was an evolutionary step. Having ALL the information you need in a monster stat block was a delight. Unlike 5e, the encounter building was simple and balanced. The math is tight, there's a reason why weapon proficiencies are +2 (10%) or +3 (+15%) - attack powers had bonuses (sure strike =2) and stack that with flanking (+2). I agree at higher levels the combats become drawn out (I just ripped out 1/4 hp from some of the monsters and that kept encounters shorter). The symmetry of design means every Classes can shine, and the tactical depth of encounters was par excellence.
Spirit Guardian > Holy Weapon
Investigator Martial Artist sounds really interesting! I started playing PF2E recently and I'm trying to figure out which class to have as the basis for that Archetype for my character.
I think so, you could just call it another kind of magic.
fight with spear and shield and the polearm master feat. And you will go even more insane (preferably with a hexblade dip)
So, one thing I like to do as a DM when it comes to paladins is let them smite with bows from ranged because to me that is something that paladins should be able to do.
The reason online play for 4e never took off had very little do with everyone supposedly hating the system, and far more to do with the simple fact that all the online tools which were supposed to be available at launch got delayed because of complications with outsourcing, and most damaging of all the virtual table that would have been the central feature piece for online play never got published at all.
Waot, how did u get shield spell?
lvl 10 bard feature.
I like it
You can attack twice, instead of once, when you take the Attack action on your turn. You ignore this benefit if you already have a feature, like Extra Attack, that gives you extra attacks.
Miss the channel and your great content. Hope you're doing well!!
I had a similar idea when I put together a Hexbladesinger, they were dual wielding a Sunblade and Moonblade as hex weapon & pact weapon respectfully
can you make an overpowered dhampir bite bard build?
At level 11 you can store 10 uses of a 2nd level spell, have another PC or familiar cast it for concentration. Now you have 10 uses of Enlarge/Reduce. As a rune knight you are large, combine with this you are now huge. Get expertise in athletics (if your using non dndONE grappling) and you can now toss around a gargantuan creature! All while being a spell caster. Also add 1d4 to all of your attacks! You won't be able to get that paladin subclass you don't really need it as you yourself can concentrate on fairy fire or web gaining you and your allies advantage and CC! Thats a nice small trade for knocking out a tarrasque with your thunder gauntlets!
I disagree that overpowered is hard to do. Magic jar, simulacrum, no save just game over spells
1:44 straight class hexblade is incredibly mediocre honestly. the only good features are at level 1, and the only real standout for expanded spell list is shield, which can't be upcast, and you have pact magic, so....hexblade is only overpowered as a level 1 multiclass. I could see banning multiclassing for hexblades, but banning the subclass itself?
i love how if you just want to smite, then you only take 2 levels in paladin and never swear an oath and its so amazingly flavorful, cuz you never were committed in the first place haha.
Am playing an aberrant mind sorcerer with the plan of focusing on telekinesis type spells, or things that can be flavored that way, like Reverse Gravity. I really am not a fan of the upper level subclass/class features. Have considered hexblade (don't want to step on the warlock), soul knife, psi knight, and maybe bard? Suggestions?

Have you considered wielding your packed weapon in one hand and a Shadow blade in the other. Pumped up to a fifth level warlock spell slot that does some nasty damage on top of your smiding.
Realize that this is old as I just stumbled across your channel. It would be interesting to to a mock battle and see how it would come out. You would have to run it a few times as I would expect that the dice could vary a lot at higher levels. I would think a lich should be much like a dragon and treated as a the big boss and thus characters would know what they are getting into, and conversely I would expect a lich and or a dragon to not be surprised by a party.
hello nystas
hello
Weak build sorry
Take 1 lvl dip into hexblade, for hexblade curse for 19-20 crit range, and ability to use cha for all attacks,(or just use a finesse wpn w/o 1lvl dip) be an elf, take elvish accuracy feat, cast faery fire to get adv on all attacks, then crit fish too?! 🤯 Also Armor of Agathys in case they ever do hit you plus beefier hp?
One time I made a cronoturgy wizard build which allowed me to re roll two times then I took the lucky feat which then allows me to re roll an extra three times then the dm added a certain magic item which allowed some one to re roll twice per day and at the start of the day I roll twice and can replace a roll so in total I can re roll nine times per day
Technically, you get sneak attack one time per “turn” not “round” 8:55. So by this premise, the larger your party the better (more turns = more opportunities for sneak attacks) to satisfy the wording of the feature. Just saying.
What about Battlesmith 3/Bladesinger 17? This way you would get 9th level spells, so could use foresight to have advantage on all attacks, copy other spells with wish etc. I know it's not perfect as far as ability increases go, but wouldn't the additional spells make up for it?
As far as I am aware, you can prepare any spells for which you have spell slots. This means if you go art wiz art art wiz art (4/2) you get a feat, and you can get one additional spell on the level up. With the wizard level, you get a level 2 slot, so can grab Aid. This is lovely for our Wizard. The downside to this is that our wizard spells come online two levels later than normal. We still gain access to the spell slots at levels 7 (4/3), 9 (4/5), 11 (4/7) 13 (4/9), 15 (4/11), 19 (4/13), & 19 (4/15). As per the rules of multiclassing, we can prepare spells each day up to the level of the highest slot we have.
Doctor Doom = 3 Art(Armorer), 17 Wiz(War Magic). Chronomancy works, as does Lore Master if allowed.
Sanctuary on the steel defender and use only the reaction will improve its durability in combat by a lot.
What I like about Pathfinder 2e Vampires is how their create spawn power works. After draining a victim dry, The vampire has to feed them their blood in order to pass along their curse. D&D vampires, when they create spawn, is almost akin to a zombie passing along its affliction...
