SubZero Camp Bobcat Catch n Cook
zhlédnutí 72Před 2 lety
This video was initially uploaded a few years ago and in two parts. This version is one full version with some things added. This video is a catch after the fact of a 29 pound Tom-Bobcat where I camp in subzero mountain conditions at the tail end of a snowstorm. Day temps were 5F by day and about 10f below at night. I cook the Bobcat on the fire. Added to this video are a few Bobcat trailcam im...
Wolf Camp and Elk Burger
zhlédnutí 65Před 2 lety
At about 8:00 mark of this video wolves can be heard by camp. Its faint but loud enough to bring me out of sleep instantly. This is another hunt camp focus on minimalism, stealth, mobility and little to none impact or footprint. In addition I share some recent trail cam images that can only be described as beauty and brutality.
Mountain Deer Hunt
zhlédnutí 44Před 2 lety
What is not in this video is a kill shot or field dressing. What is in this video is a dead deer with blood in the snow. This video is comprised of two outings, the camp portion where I did not get a deer, and the hunt portion where I did not camp.
GOATS GYM: KBARS and DumBells

Another training session of off grid improvised fitness and weight training. As a side project I restore some KBAR knives and remove rust from the blades in the same way of cleaning up rusty weights and chains. This training serves to meet the demands of mountain mobility. The background music is Irish Pub by the Rumjacks.

This a quick video looking at my off grid barnyard fitness program. I might consider expanding the video with more content or possibly a short series on self reliance fitness that is independent of store front fitness options. This arena is offgrid which is to say it has no running water or electric, in the winter this gym offers the best air conditioning around and summer months offer the best...

    Today is Sunday, absolutely bored outta my tree, woke up very early so that didn't help. I went out side processed a small tree that had fallen and I must say, I am very impressed with my Esee 6 which by now, is my first week of having it. I think Esee has the BEST 1095 heat treat out of any company out there, I think even more so than Becker, and I was a huge Becker pecker! I literally delimbed very big branch on this tree, made feather sticks with some pieces of 2x4 and STILL was shaving sharp. I'm literally losing my mind here, I don't understand this. I think I will get a Junglas next week as my main chopper. I like my knives to match where as before I would have nothing but Ka-Bar Becker. I am a born-again bonafied believer of Esee now. I love this knife!

    Really cool friend 🙂 I live in a completely opposite environment so this is all stuff I don’t get to experience. No mountain or snow here. I’ve never had elk! Everyone tells me it’s great stuff. I think I faintly heard some wolves. I tried to capture some owls a few times and my mic didn’t pick it up either. I think it sees it as background noise and tries to cancel it. Those eagles were awesome! Keep posting. I love it👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    We Aussies can that type of Anorak a Bush Shirt. The main brand of Riding Coat (what we call a Duster) is the Drizabone brand. I have had American friends can them "Wet as bast**d." The Dizabone riding costs also provide a bit sheepskin detachable liner. Good video, thanks.

    Are there any glands to cut off the cat before cooking?

    • @tramontane3239
      @tramontane3239 Před 3 lety

      The main gland is the anal gland and around the rectum. This sprays urine. Face and feet have glands as well. If you field dress the meat properly then you will avoid the glands. If you see white sacks that are presumably full of fluid then avoid them, like on a rabbit under the arms, and the many places on a deer.
