I discovered your channel a couple of hours ago and am both absolutely chuffed, and feel rather foolish for not finding you sooner. For my whole life I regretted stopping dancing (ballet) and wondered if there was a way to start dancing again. As exercise for mind, body and especially soul. Decades ago, I looked into the possibility of adult classes but there was nothing within hundreds of miles/kilometres, so I more or less forgot about it. With ME/CFS it's pretty challenging to simply get to the bathroom to attend to the call of nature let alone an exercise routine. Another setback. Recently, I thought I'd do my utmost to find a way. I've just received all my (very amateurish-dupe) kit from an online bargain store, the shoes arrived yesterday. So, today, I set about trawling the net and YT to see if I could find classes. I found a bunch, and then there is Sleek Technique. Absolutely awesome. I will have to start super super super gently, but I think because I've loved ballet my entire life, there's a far greater chance of sticking with it. I was so disappointed to see no activity on this channel, then boom, a new video! Hmmm, must be meant-to-be, especially for me. Thank you so much for your work. I have a lot of videos to get through, and I've also found your IG channel. Fantastically exciting stuff. So very grateful, Cheers from down in Oz (Australia) 🤩😘

Black tights or leggings make it more difficult for us to see the relative positions of your legs. Sometimes we can't see which one is in front. Black doesn't show the subtle shadows and hues that we use to determine position in 2D videos. It's like watching a shadow puppet. Amateur mistake. Light colors or bare legs make it much easier to follow the exercises.
There are plenty of workouts on our app and you tube channel with bare legs and light colours. As professional dancers with combined careers of 40 years and creators of content for 13 years we are not amateurs but thank you for you comments and we wish you a great day!

this was amazing! I saved this a month ago, when i first did this i could not finish nor can i finish half of it, after a period try out different easier barre workouts. Today i challenged myself and i did it! I finished the entire workout. I still need to work hard on my posture though! This was amazing! I thank God that i get to finish this workout and the fact i get to learn ballet online. amazing video! great video! God bless!

Does it active only abs, or deep core muscles as well? What exercise is best to activate transverse abdominis muscle?
Hello! Yes this sequence activates deep muscle layers - focus on the inhale/exhale breath as you hover knees and shins, as you do draw the naval up towards the spine. This mind muscle breath connection is key. if you wanted to further add to this and focus on the transverse abdominals then lay on your back, raise both legs so knees are bent L shape over hips and toe tap single or both legs to the floor. If your spine is strong and pain free, add a light weight 1.5kg held in both hands and hover this above your head in inch or so off floor as you toe tap to add challenge. Make sure to keep middle spine to the mat - technique is key. We have a full range of workouts that work your core on our app. Hope you can try them 🙏Flik

I am doing an excersize at night for my abs where my legs are up and my shoulders are off the ground. I bring one knee in at a time. It's working a bit, but I noticed my back is rounding. Do you have good floor counter excersize so I can keep a strong back and unround it?
Yes - we have a shred series over on our app which would help strengthen this and rectify the ‘rounding’!
