Hunk of BS in one video. This is science and engineering, words like detail and depth are not used. A DAC is simply measured with an analyze and compared. Cables wow more BS. Also proven scientifically that they dont make any difference. CD transport, more BS, in the digital realm, a cheap DVD with a digital output is exactily the same. No They dont make any difference.

The Morel's had to much sizzle on the top end. That room is pretty hard with no treatment but the Totems had a little warmer and fuller sound. The Morel's might be fine in a really damped room but in that room were just to bright and forward. The Totems had a little more punch and nicer to listen to.

Please don't waste your money! As an audiophile with over 50 years of experience, I can tell you with absolute certainty, you don't need a DAC, unless your current equipment is ancient (15+ years old), or just cheap crap, or maybe some combination of the two, in which case, you should just upgrade your core equipement. If the core of your system includes a modern, $700+ Surround AVR/Stereo Receiver/Integrated Amplifier, you absolutely DO NOT NEED a DAC, nor should you want one, unless you just like to waste money. Everything you need, you already own in your equipment. And if you think your new AVR doesn't sound "musical" enough, return it and buy a Marantz AVR. You're welcome.

I have the SMSL AO300 connected with usb to a PC. Can i improve it with an external DAC?

I have a pair of Totem Hawk and i realllly like them. Paired with a primaluna tube amp they can sing really well. I’d buy another pair of totem anytime!

While the particular model of REL subwoofer used in the 6-pack (REL S/510) is mentioned once in the video, I don't think it would have been too difficult to include the model in the video title or description. I started listening and thought, "Hmm, this sounds good. What model did he say these were?", then I went looking for the information in the title and description, to no avail. There's no good reason I should have to go back and listen to the video again just to find this information. Clearly, it's not intended to be a closely guarded secret. Please be more considerate of your community next time and include this kind of information in the video description so it's easy to find quickly.

The Morel recreates a more convincing acoustic. Listen to her voice. Also, the dynamics are more nuanced on the Morel - listen to the guitar strumming and the drum hits. The Morel tweeter is balanced a little hotter, but you gain better detail.

Totem seems smoother .. less sibilant in the video.

I think you either need better recording equipment, room treatment or both. You can tell the difference between the 2 but they both sounded terrible to me. And it’s not the speakers fault.

I like your jam and style. I'd love to come back when you've sonically treated your room. At least a little. That set up and rig is amazing. It'd sound so much better without all those reflections. Every review is always about the room to some extent. The equipment it's in (50-75%- depending on who ya listen to.) , but let's be fair to space, accoustics, human hearing, and science.) Don't get me wrong, measurements arent the whole show EVER. But rooms are rooms and speakers doing what they do are going to sound different in every space. Please give your speakers the best chance at letting you know what they can do by treating your room. I know I'd rather spend 500$ on a new dac or whatver, but a decent room treatment will make your 5k system sound like a 40k system. (ask me how I know.)

Hard to really tell. Both were good. But the room seemed to make the sound very brittle. Both close and far miking and mixing would help - but then that would interfere with the demonstation.

Sounded similar to me and that's with listening with active speakers. I think the Triangle speakers sitting in front there would be sound much better, having owned the Comete 40th anniversary.

totems are the better sound here. Both are great sounding products.

I liked to sound of the Totem much better through CZcams. The vocals on the Morel seem to be forward, more pronounced then "I" like. Also, they did not sound as full/large as the Totem.

Like, what do you hear in the room as it’s so hard to hear through playback? Great options both way but it would help to hear your impressions.

im searching for a bookshelf in the 2000k range im consedering any of these 3 triangle 40.s,martin logan 35xti or new sonus faber sonetto 1 g2 witch is on marked in about 2 weeks, what of these speakers is more room filling my room is medium to big and im adding a sub i will be seated like 3 meters of speaker my roof is v shaped with toons of wood.

Seems you all carry Triangle speakers. I am trying to see if there is much difference between the Triangles and Bowers & Wilkins. Any opinions on any differences in sound character between these two wonderful speaker companies?

Those are so gorgeous. I think if you added a sub for just the lowest frequencies, it would be great. That’s what I do with my B&W 705s.

I wonder how these compare to say, a Bowers & Wilkins 705-S3 signature Datuk gloss. They look similar, but I wonder about performance.

Sorry but none of there speakers are worth there pricing and I am someone that can spend that kind of money,but I feel there are and I own just as satisfying speaker build that cost so much less that has tremendous manufacturing
