Love this scent and especially love it in my gin! lol

I skimmed through to the candle review, because I’m already familiar with the content in the first half. I agree with your review of the brand overall. I bought Diptyque Cyprès (Cypress) and strength and throw was very light +1/10 to +2/10. It started to soot halfway through, so I stopped burning it and instead have been cutting out chunks out with a butter knife and melting it in a wax warmer and it has some strength that way. The fragrance itself is a beautiful resinous cypress scent with honey like and sweet hay undertones…when I can smell it. $74 is too expensive to have not great performance when burning and wind up the world’s most expensive wax melt.

I thought it was just me but the wallflower was definitely artificial and nauseating after being plugged in.

Hi, Ceylon cinnamon is not from Mexico but from Ceylon(old name) or otherwise known as Srilanka. This cinnamon is native to south east asia.

Thanks for the video! I’ve been waiting for a while for commentary on Diptyque. Their “Vanille” is out of this world!! Very accessible, but it also gives a slight smokiness that sets it apart from your average Yankee Candle-type vanilla, which I often find too sweet. Tilleul (Linden Tree) is my other recommendation. To me it smells botanical, clean, and syrupy. Really unique!

This 2nd release of Stranger Things was more intriguing to me. I definitely picked up on the citrus on The Upside Down. I love the spicy woodiness used in The Demogorgon. Eddie's Leather Jacket is a nice, soft, smooth leathery scent. Enjoyed the in-depth breakdowns of cedarwood, patchouli, leather, musk & suede 😊.

I didn’t order any of the original releases from the collection but did just order online and decided to pick up all three of the new scents plus a few of the new fall releases. Thanks so much for going into detail on the scent notes!

For me, Unsidedown = Christmas in a craft store , Demogorgon = spicy cinnamon + floral ,Eddie’s L.J = Eddie in his car 😅 I’m a big S. T. fan so I got all 3 for the jar styles - dark and eerie ❤Didn’t get any chapter 1- Scents and jars were boring to me

It reminds me a bit of Roasted Chestnuts & Cherries on cold (That red ribbed glass container from about 2016) I haven't burned this one yet .I'm kind of indifferent and don't love it on cold. I may exchange it still without trying it. Usually if it's not hitting me as good on cold it'll be a waste for me when burning but I could change my mind still. Thanks for the indepth review.

Thanks Joshua. I’ve been so tempted to try this even though I did not like the soap at all. The sweet notes in it were good but an odd cherry almond . I wish they’d bring back the lavender shortbread . I did end up liking the Danbury shortbread in the wallflower over the candle. Crazy how dif they can be in dif products. It’s too bad about homeworx. I don’t bother with anymore . I wasn’t into candles when they doing better.

I burned the whole thing. It was a one & done. It was okay. I love a gourmand but actually bought it because I love Jergens cherry almond lotion & was hoping for a similar scent. Not sure it really was. I didn’t hate it though. I do have the soap & like it & bought a second one.

I didn’t like this one. It smelled great on cold but it came off synthetic to my nose when burning and it wasn’t very sweet. Lancome has a perfume called, Jazmin’s Marzipan, and I was hoping this would have smelled similar to that. Great video! And thank you for sharing that nugget of knowledge on why cherry and almond notes smell similar! 😊

Had it in the single wick and it was awful! Returned it.

I agree - this candle was a total dud & a disappointment. It was sooty from the start & didn’t smell like cherry or almond at all. I got a faint vanilla scent, but that’s it. At the 1/2 way point, the wax was murky. Just overall, a big letdown. Almond Croissant & Danbury Shortbread are much better almond scents, in my opinion.

My hubby is pretty versatile with what I burn. He doesn't like a strong smell of butter. No popcorn scents. This one in store just seemed artificial. I skipped it. I don't mind a sweet candle. This just wasn't for me. Have a great week ❌️ ⭕️

That candle cant be burned long, the wax turns dark. I too was disappointed by the smell

I agree. This was such a let down. I bought two initially, fully expecting to love it. I'm burning one and will be returning the other. It does neither cherry, almond nor shortbread well. And it's sooting at the halfway point, which is never a good sign.

Good call to send back...I got a lot of that wax smell that can often happen...It definitely feels like a cheap candle wannabe to me..They threw in just enough to intrigue but fell far flat towards a crayon with a cherry on top. Thank you always for your insight!

I heard this one has terrible throw and burning it drastically corrupts the fragrance so I didn’t bother with it. Picked up Palo Santo & Vanilla and Cozy Sunday Evening today instead.

I felt that way about Main Street Bakery-the butter note nauseated me in that one. So many people loved it though. I liked the foaming soap in the Cherry Almond scent, but I didn’t pick up the candle … and the soaps can definitely smell different than the candles. The cake note for Bath and body is often a hit or miss for me!! I appreciate your review!!🫶✨

Cider Lane & Autumn are very underrated. I don't understand how Leaves gets all the glory over Autumn. It's a far more superior scent. I don't like all the spice that gets shoved into every apple fragrance.

Passed on this one for the cold sniff but I might purchase one of these now. I'm a sucker for chocolate fragrances, **when done right** The only s'mores fragrance I've enjoyed enough to buy more than one of was the ScentWorx Toasted Pumpkin S'mores, which was a great fragrance but was a light thrower. Good review!

New subscriber, here. I really enjoyed your review, and I agree, chocolate candles can be really cloying. I generally avoid them. I recently came across one that, while it is a one-and-done for me, really was rather pleasant. It is Goose Creek’s Sweet Tiramisu. The chocolate scent in it is dry…. much like the scent that rises from a freshly opened can of Nestle Quick. It’s one that I’ll enjoy remembering as it evokes childhood days for me. It was an accidental purchase, but it was a nice, simple surprise. Best to you! Cherryinflorida

Thanks for your thoughts. I did like this candle. I got the sweet chocolate graham crackery smell. I was glad it didnt smell like tortilla chips or have cream cheese in it. My husband said he only smells chocolate. I love vanilla pumpkin marshmallow😂 wish they’d bring it back in 3 wick. Cloyingly sweet for me is caramel pumpkin swirl👀

I absolutely adore s’more’s! everything s’mores! the Starbucks Frappuccino they used to do that with s’mores oh my God I loved that all the s’mores desserts that you can buy at target yes, please the s’mores pop tarts. I love it. Gimmie Gimmie s’more.

I love your in depth analysis as always! I feel like BBW puts out sooo many pumpkin scented candles so I can appreciate this one is different. I do miss the Slatkin era plain S'mores candle so glad it's in the realm of that one. I need to look to see if they sell pumpkin graham crackers because I don't think I've seen them!

Smelled this one today and passed on it. It smelled alright but not extraordinary enough to purchase. I have BBW’s Hot Cocoa & Cream from last year and in my opinion, is a really well done chocolate scent. I don’t like smoky notes so I don’t bother with the ‘Bonfire’ type candles. Thanks for the honest review.✌ PS: If you know of a candle that has a prominent Pumpkin fragrance without being drowned by spices…or apple, please share. I picked up Pumpkin Carving today and it seems close to what I’m looking for - on cold anyway.🤞

Great review! This one is in my current burn rotation as well and I am enjoying it too, though I agree: it’s a bit bland, but quite pleasant. It reminds me a lot of the older Slatkin S’mores (2011 is the version I have). I still have a couple of them so I’ve been comparing them on cold but it’s difficult as they are pretty light (and old)! I always kind of thought that the Italy - Cannoli & Chocolate candle (2018) was pretty much a Slatkin S’mores repackage and Pumpkin S’mores, while close, seems a bit different. It’s more marshmallow-y and less “dry graham cracker”, to my nose at least. I think I like Bonfire S’mores/Toasted S’mores better as that one has a more richly honeyed graham note. I think my fave graham in was Spiced Graham Cracker which I think only came out once in the WB core collection- maybe 2016? It was spicier (as the name suggests, I guess, lol) and I remember really liking it! Anyway- thanks so much for another thorough, beautifully worded, comprehensive review!

I just got Pumpkin Bonfire delivered today and after all the positive reviews I just don’t get the hype- it is so heavy on the clove. I’m not going to burn it because I realized if something doesn’t smell appealing on cold then it won’t be any better lite. Help me understand the craze with this candle. 🤔 Also can you please review: The Perfect Autumn & Fall Farmhouse please. I’m on the fence with those two as well.

I LOVEEEE BROWN SUGAR ALLSPICE! Wish it would return! I have 1 3WICK and 1 Tester left😢 I quite enjoyed Bridgerton Wisteria Garden! Enough to purchase a backup. I did buy the collection, burned 2 of them Danbury shortread I also burned a few times it’s just meh to me. Didn’t buy any Stranger things candles.
