Five is the only reason why I finished the three seasons. Diego was tolerable. Klaus was entertaining but frustrating sometimes with his decisions. Ghost Ben was so sweet, I loved him. The others were annoying. I didn't like them a bit.

Five is literally the goat of the show, he sees through someone who’s considered the most intelligent living thing on the planet which is the man who trained and adopted them. Fights a commission that exist outside of time and interferes when they need to. Is a total black airforce savage boy and comes up with the best berating comments ever

I love how they’re becoming friends. Through their years of manipulation by the Handler and desire to escape from that painful past and have real families, they actually are much more similar than either of them want to admit. I think by the end of the show, they will be BFFs and Five will - begrudgingly - babysit Diego and Lila’s child.
I have a question/comment; did the show get better this season? I saw all three seasons and for whatever reason this feels like the most complete story I've seen. The characters gel better, the plot is more complex, but moreover the chracters feel like they are supposed to be, which I think is a little confusing but that's how I feel.
Idk. The thing for me is I hate when shows recycle the same information. For example, when stranger things 4 came out, I was actually disappointed. It seemed like the same thing. This show does it a bit, but not to the extent of stranger things. It’s weird, for sure, but I got hooked on it especially near the end. Personally, this is one of my favorite seasons.
I know this is the perfect way to show the support friends give to one and others but COME ON!!! Clare didn't deserve that. 😭😭😭

Clare's actress was busy with the filming of another series so they needed a reason for the character to move away from Derry for the final episode. Also, this was inspired by a similar situation that happened to one of Lisa McGee's friend when she was young. Clare's father was probably the best candidate. A bit too cruel for the character, I agree. Maybe there was a better way to do it. But it also shows how sometimes life can be.
Just about everything in Derry Girls is based on Lisa's experiences but I think it illustrated a huge point. Nobody deserves it. I do talks in highschools about drunk driving (though I know this wasn't drunk driving) and I use this clip to illustrate how, at the height of a great time or ordinary day, when you least expect it, someone comes and tells you something that takes your own life out of you. Clare knew the news was bad before Jerry opened his mouth and Nicola captured it so well.
lila and five becoming friends is something that can be so personal.... seriously though like he loves his family yes but also he needs. friends. he considered hazel potentially a friend and then he died, and then the same happened with elliot =(
Ahhhh ikr? The only companions he has had outside of his family are a mannequin he imagined to be real because he was so crushingly lonely, an assassin he managed to slightly find common ground with before he got shot right in front of Five, a conspiracy theorist who was tortured and then died brutally all while Five was away. he's got no friends. specially considering the ending of s3: he's an elderly man in a child's body with no experience living in a world like this and no resources and no allies. Lila is the closest thing to a friend he has and even then she's still part of his family now. His family is all he has.
