I think the "ink spots" may have done a version of this old classic song back in the 1940's or thereabouts..

Great cover!
Thank you.
What song is this supposed to be? No offense but it's the worse song I ever heard.
Can't beat that, Cousin!
woe be tied those that call it London Derry! Ha!
Very good job 👏
Beautiful
Sing Eric Clapton thinking your voice would be perfect for this😊
Nice cover Andy!
Thanks for telling me. there is a big difference. two great songs. i noted it in the title. 🙂👍
Hey, hwy, Handy Andy, saw the title and was expecting a Wille Nelson tune - pleasant surprise - loved the harmonica break ! Your voice is great for this genre - sweet tune!!
Great cover Andy - loved the outro! GB
Thanks so much!
Once upon a time. I miss you guys like you could not imagine.
Me and Jan were hired to play Polish festival so Jan knew the words to some polish songs, and I knew the words to some Polish songs in English.
Gary was only fooling around on the spoons. He was one of the most naturally talented musicians I have ever had the honor and privilege to play some music with. and a great human being as well.
Sounds great!
please hit the like button. thanks.
Please hit the like. thank you.
Hit the like button folks. much appreciated.
Great job of Lukeys Boat Andy !! Alec, and Fred too, would be impressed!
you're a fortunate guy Andy!

Hi Andy, how are you?
@@telemyztery doing great Monique. we missed you guys. i hope you and your daughter are well.
I think everyone in Newfoundland knows how to play a musical instrument. I’ll never forget the time I attended a convention there and met many fine people. I was screeched in and learned the song I’se the by’s.
Jan Hanko on fiddle. One of the best fiddle players I have ever known. just get up and play. rehearsals were unheard of. lol.
This is a great song but it just would not be as good without Mariel's choreography. ❤😊😊
I went fishing with my uncle Alex Oakley in Bay bulls Newfoundland off the grand banks, great cod fishing area. he had a fancy little speed boat. I asked him how deep the water was? he said at least 1000 feet deep. as the waves began to swell, all of a sudden that fancy little boat seemed like a 6 foot bath tub in waters deeper than the length of the empire state building. suddenly I thought "what the hell am I doing out here a 1000 ft of churning ocean in a damn bathtub? we're going to die if a big wave hits us. my uncle Alex said put on that life jacket. it will make it easier for them to find your body. phew!, that was a long day but we survived.
Woa..........what story. Glad you made it. Bet you won't do that again. lol
This was recorded in the summer of 1999 at a "Jiggs dinner". These good friends all married Matt and Margaret Fifi****'s girls.
Oh the memories of years ago ❤ Great job as always 👌
Summer 1999, Jiggs dinner.
I love it nice jig.
Robert Ayles is he still around :) he has a smooth voice and has a Tom Petty kind of style to him. Loved this tune. Born in SaintJohn and sill here
Still amazing 2 years later
He is from Shearstown, Newfoundland; in the early 1970s he was a member of the Newfoundland Showband with others such as Ray MacLean, Bill Whelan and David Noseworthy
One of the best accordion players in Newfoundland
Born and grew up in Saint John. This made me miss it.
"i put out my hand and touched the face of God", i dont know if anyone actually realized at the very moment she sang those words, exactly what a masterpiece she turned those solemn words into. This girl is nothing short, in any way possibly imaginable, a sheer gifted musical genius.
Yes, I remember it quite well. Patty had the "Jigs" dinner and all the sisters were there with you guys, the husbands and the kids. Marie H was there with my mom, Annie O, childhood friends as they were, and I think Bardy may have been there. It was truly a treasured moment. You guys had the world by the tail. Wow thats really sad news to hear Gary is gone. He was one of the best accordian players I have ever had the honor to have played with. He had this natural gift. once he put himself in that zone he could take the music spontaneously off in any and all directions, hop around, make a few extra body gestures, jump up in his seat, and not lose a beat. you are correct he was a truly exceptional character and that very vibrant spirit he had and that energy source will be quite definately missed.
I had to edit your message. Sorry about that. I tryed to contact you on your channel. you have the one Liam Clancy video of Wild mountain Tyme but you turned off the comments and I did'nt know how else to reply. " Your still going strong man. good on ya.! remember many years ago you, Gary O, Ed O, and I playing in Garys kitchen in St. John's. Don't know if you heard or not but Gary passed to the other side in june 2022. God bless him - quite the character he was".
no problem with the edit - i should have realized not to be using names and all! i hardly use yt for posting at all, hence the lack of activity on the channel - just thought i'd pass on the sad news about Gary.
Rest easy dad ... Give mom a hug for me
That’s my uncle Joe, I miss him and wish I could see more of these old videos of him, this is the only one I’ve found, ever! If anyone out there has any more, there’s a nephew here who would sure love to see them or hear anything recorded as well! I was young when Uncle Joe was alive and I didn’t get to ask so much! I’m hungry for anything anyone could send for me to see or hear! I miss uncle Joe!
Nice !
Born a west sider always a west side. Thanks great pics and music
love the old pictures
It seems like a song George would write, but John did write great introspective songs.
👍🤗❤
Love this group.
