What I believe is that POEA is for OFWs po. For emigrants, I don´t think you need to go through POEA unless if your permit to Sweden is a Work Permit. Emigrants however need a clearance/ permit from the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO).

Visa is what you need if you are just visiting po.

hey itakes about 13 months to apply if approved you get 2 years resident and work visa if you are together or married with swedish person after 2 years you just extend visa from sweden

Nope. I had to go back to Thailand to actually just get the card.

@Ela-Shiela MistalRamirez Hi! I applied towards February. Probably a week after, I received an email that I need to scheduled an interview at the Swedish embassy in BKK. The Swedish embassy in BKK set my schedule of interview in May. In July, I received another email that I can get my residency permit in Bankok so I had to fly to BKK again. I only picked up my residency card in November. I suggest you dont book ahead because the length of waiting time varies. For some, I was told that they had to wait for two years.
