It isn't possible to have a 2cm Base height and an 8cm Base length and then have the other Base sides being 6cm...

This is incorrect. You can't just draw a Triangular pyramid with the given measurements and pretend it can really exist. It is not helpful, it is erroneous.

Ok, I just drew a net with the measurements given in the picture. Then I cut it out. With a slant height of 10cm for all the 3 upright triangle faces the edges of each triangle are a different length. Therefore the edges of the triangles do not meet up at the top vertex. Also, I checked and was correct in saying that a RIGHT (90degrees) triangle can not have a long side of 8 cm when the other sides are 6cmand 4cm (c2 = a2 + b2). The long side should be 7.2cm

I would advise to draw an accurate net with the measurements given in the picture. Then cut out the net and try to line up the triangles into a triangular pyramid. I am quite sure the triangles won't meet up at the top vertex... So the picture isn't a proper triangular pyramid to begin with..

Also when the sides of the Base are different lengths, does it not mean the slant heights will be different? If they are the same, the edges of the triangle will end up different lengths and they won't meet up at the top vertex? Or am I making a mistake?

Hi, how can you have a RIGHT triangle with a length of 6cm and width of 4cm that has 8cm as the longest side? Isn't it C2 = a2 + b2? C2 = 6 squared + 4 squared C2= 36 + 16 C2 = 52 square root of C2 = square root of 52 C = 7.2cm Or am I missing something? Please correct me if I am wrong.. 😀 So what I am saying is I don't think it can be a RIGHT triangle with these measurements..

Unfortunate that your obtuse triangle is impossible..... the longest side must be greater than the sum of the other two sides. 5+7=12 If the two sides are connected at the endpoints of the longest one, the shape cannot close without a 4th side or they form the same line as that longest side. This is unfortunate, because it makes me worry about the rest of the content - though I didn't watch the rest to check for other errors. My kids listen to others more than me, so I like to find something to corroborate with my explanation. Had to pass this one up just because of the still and wanted to let you know so you can fix it :)
