You'll probably be fine here, but it's worth noting it's not always a great idea to have the PSU run off the CPU header, as the PSU isn't able to regulate it's own temperature now. There will be scenarios where some components within the PSU will be hot whilst the CPU is still cool and thus the fan won't ramp up sufficiently to cool the components within the PSU
@@obscureparadox yeah I have installed fan controller so I can change this

What’s the original one you use
I bought this to test it against my Noctua l9x65. Thermalright should have done better homework. I did not know about the backplate clearance issues and screwed it on. Fortunately I immediately remembered that i forgot to peel the sticker from the cooler and unscrewed it. That was when i noticed it was pinching against a motherboard component. I flipped it around as you did, but I do not have a lot of faith in this configuration. If someone overtightens the screws, there is a possibility one of the backplate corners would snap off from the tension. Also, the screws that attach to the cooler are not the most secure. I have no idea why it costs so much in Australia. I got it shipped from Amazon Germany to my country for 40 euros (~65 aud). Overall it was a waste of money from my part, because the flipped backplate interferes with the pcie riser cable (I use the Formd-T1 case) and prevents the installation of my gpu. Maybe Thermalright can look into implementing a mounting mechanism similar to Noctua. Feels more secure and you do not need to remove the backplate to change thermal paste for example.
Yeah that's tough I have mounted without the backplate
big fan but u should build in the goodisory a02 its super clean

literally just about to do a sff build with this cooler, didnt know this bracket existed and i have a 3d printer, thank you for the video, i will be doing a video on the build soon, hopefully this will make things easier on the cooler as it is going on a 7900x
Let's goooo!! Yeah game changer 😄
100 for a 1050 ti? there 50 dollars average used
Is that USD? Also a ITX edition?
how's the temperature and total wattage consumption for the 3050 + processor?
Temps have been 90°c max at 130+Watts. 3050 has been fine I don't have to worry about that card has three fans on it. Runs really well and is stable. Only thing is the battery pack on the Pico PSU runs pretty hot lol. Has no fan on it.
Your content is like finding gold in the river, glad I got here! Will you do a tutorial on how to install it? Does it needs any drivers for the WLAN connection? New sub.
Thanks it's just plug and play (windows detects it and installs the right driver using the hardware id)

Hi. Can you make a specific vid about that effects in mystic light?
You need to check it out yourself lol
@@iBuildPChow can i? I've asked It to you because i want to buy a mobo that has a good utility to control rgb effects, but i don't have one!!
I recently bought a full tower i7 4770 2x8gb ram, motherboard, case & psu for 140 euros. That was a purchase from a store so they probably got a profit off of it as well. 1660 Super runs around 100 euroes here. add an ssd and you will be around 280 euros or 300 dollars. Asking for double the price with the selling point being it is a smaller pc sounds like a tough deal. Especially when the target audience for these kinds of components are budget oriented gamers. Hopefully you have sold it by now!
Exactly lol see my latest video
how to detect the ram and other stuffs?
Ok, but how you mounted without the bracket? It wasn't supposed to screw over the bracket?
You can flip the bracket over or use no brqcket
What is the name of the white case?
Metal fish s3
what procesor?
I will try that in the future 😉👍
Do you know the link to get it
How much was it?

Nice man
Why don't you just wrap the cables around the fan fitting it inside the metal bracket?
Dunno just don't like doing that
About to change mine out after 6 years, currently getting temps of 95*C +
Yikes good to see it's still going
@@iBuildPC me too man, a good clean and some new thermal paste, temps back down to the 60-70 range and frames are hanging around the 140 mark on my flight sims, very happy chap 👍🏼
you can try prevent hot air from recirculating into the fan by using sponge spacers (in between side cover and fan surface). Noctua made similar product with various thickness
Awesome thanks will check it out
4th gen intel cpu? That's so old it still uses ddr3 ram....
Yup it's a dinosaur
Sweet!

Could you please measure the base plate size? I am thinking of using this cooler for a custom project.
Should just be your standard mounting sizes just google the mount type
Jesus wept, drilling metal with motherboard installed is crazy. It might create a short, leave scrap in pci slot damn man. But I leave you a like because I was considering this case for 4060 build and thanks to that vid I know it's out of the picture.
Haha yeah I ended up cleaning everything up
Really small
Yes I want to go smaller lol
Why itx?( im just curious no hate) I enjoy building those ive built a few.
I like the challenge.
@@iBuildPC that's understandable. I think it is a very good challenge to see how small you are willing to go
nice
shouldn't of gotten an intel
I had this chip on a bigger case with a larger cooler and it was fine. But putting this into a 3.8L case your cooling is limited. But yes agree would have been easier on am5 lol
Your cpu shouldnt be running that hot my guy. Get a proper cooler with a good bracket. Cooler is probably too loose
It's a mini ITX build, so it's alright. Normal ATX PCs shouldn't thermal throttle unter a 100% load, but for mini ITX most people are happy if it desn't throttle in-game.
@@ItsNeverMeheat issues in the mini builds are if people get “oversized” components that restrict airflow even more. Not to mention the better option as an AIO would work way better. There are mini-itx cases that fit 120mm AIO’s. At this level you might as well get a laptop.
@@TheGameBest7 True, but you can't upgrade most laptops. I don't really understand stressful and overheating mini ITX builds, only to take up a little less space. But they look cool though.
@@ItsNeverMe laptops are limiting to gpu and cpu upgrades, but most modern ones have upgradability for storage and ram
Pretty much what the comments say. You just need to experience mini itx yourself. Like sub 5L and then you will understand.
i have the 13500, even a stupid aluminum cooler from a precision t1500 that wasnt secure and had an 80mm fan on top worked for testing it on beamng under 65c so there shouldnt be a reason its gonna overheat with my h115i its max ive ever seen is 52°
Really? That's interesting
It would be interesting to compare its performance against a standard HSF of the same size to determine if the copper fins make a difference. Many professionals suggest that while copper transfers heat more quickly, aluminum should dissipate heat faster.
Most coolers are copper + nickel planting i kinda hate nickel plating
How many pins does this fan have ?
Its like a flat 6pin
