14:36 Are you doing any research now on people without episodic memories? I have Severely Deficient Autobiographical Memory and just realized last year that people can actually “re-experience” memories in vivid sensory detail. I always thought “knowing that something happened” in facts is what a memory is. Now I understand that a memory to most people is the experience of re-living an episode in their “mind’s eye,” which is another concept I had no understanding of until last year when I learned people can see pictures and movies in their heads.

Very informative video. You make it look so easy. I feel like I might remove my own stitches. The doctor that put them in, gave me absolutely no info on when they would be removed, and got so annoyed at any question I asked. Terrible bedside manner! I am stubborn, so I would rather do it myself then go back to that hospital. It's been about 10 or 11 days with them in already.

Dr. Garrett, thank you so much for this informative video. I have my first appointment coming up with Dr. Wiechert after just being diagnosed with endometrioid adenocarcinoma/Grade 2-3 and am learning as much as I can on my own about all aspects of this cancer. Of course, I haven't been staged yet - and I'm not trying to jump the gun but one of the biggest fears is fear of the future and "what happens if it comes back?" after my hysterectomy. I learned so much from listening to you. I know I will learn more from Dr. Wiechert when the time comes but I feel like you're all one amazing team and I am grateful that I can learn from all of you. I also watched his videos! I don't want to fall too far down the rabbit hole of trying to learn as much as I can...but these BIDMC videos are outstanding. Thanks again!

My health improved 100% when I stopped taking all western medicine and turned to a nutrition lifestyle by changing my eating habits and diet, I avoid prepackaged foods full of chemicals. I purchased Herbal Formula from World Rehabilitate Clinic, I was literally bedbound for about 3 years. But now I have NONE of the issues they diagnosed me with years ago....all done without the help of western medicine. I am not prescribing medicine or supplements but If anyone chose to follow the regimen I chose I will be happy for them, conversely if anyone chooses not to believe, I will fully understand that as I probably wouldn't believe the story if I hadn't lived it.

Age 51, very active. I mountain bike and race BMX. Found out two days ago I have a 4.6cm thoracic aneurysm. My dad died of a stomach aneurysm at 53 but he smokes. Thought since I was so active I had avoided that gene being passed down. I'm bummed of course, but my wife had open heart surgery 7 years ago to have a stint put in and I know what to expect. Now starts the journey. Hoping and praying mine doesn't grow, but at the same time I now feel locked down from a ton of exercise that I enjoy because of the ticking time bomb feeling. My dad was getting ready for a fishing trip when he passed away in the front yard. Ughhh!!

I'm sitting here crying because I had bad pancreatitis for 8 days. For the first 5 or 6 days all I did was cry and cry out in pain literally the whole almost 5 and half days. I was in so much pain the whole time and I was unable to sleep. I was sleep deprived and exhausted because of not sleeping. So on the 6th day the doctor tried an increase of pain medicine and the frequency. This was the first I actually was starting to feel pain relief. And if you do the math that I was in pain and couldn't sleep a wink, but no, they came into the room While I was sleeping and wouldn't that be natural thing to do after not sleeping almost 50 hours. No they said I'm overmedicated. Someone please give me some feed back because I know the is still something wrong in my body and they're falling to notice it

57 and Ascending Aortic Aneurysm 4.5 cm found looking for reasons that I have chest and back pain CT scan. My GP admittedly told me they know very little but "to contact her if I got a nose bleed and to take low dose aspirin". My daughter has been seeing Cardiologists and Rheumatology as she has syncope and now concerning possible V EDS or but no one has suggested Genetic testing. It seems non vascular specialists know very little even though so many have catastrophic events and many events yes, prior to the 5.5 threshold especially women. I need to see someone who knows what they are doing STAT. My father died of heart "attack" and my Aunt had open heart surgery, but I don't know for what. I have pain which is concerning, maybe there is more going on other than just the aorta...I am in Canada - any advice would be wonderful. I was diagnosed 2 days ago. Explains why I can't walk up the street without being winded...I was pushing myself thinking, I just need to get stronger...but I won't push now. Only one year ago, I was on the treadmill every night AFTER work...then I went to the Dr. thinking it was hormone imbalance/menopaus...but I truly feel like I am trouble...they told me this and then no counseling...when someone feels like they have a time-bomb in their chest. I want surgery for sure...I am young, a very young 57. Sorry, dumping.
