How long I keep it in the sun?
why was the red gauge starting to show pressure when you opened the low side to start recharging? If the red was closed how did the pressure start rising on the red gauge?
Could this destroy my compressor though👀
I just had this problem just now lol. in the resting position it is up, but when it wipes it covers all sides....
you covered this, but I want to emphasize one point where *before I saw your video) I broke a piece. When removing the top cover - the one that runs from the a/c to the dashboard - at the dashboard, the far end nearest the windshield - pull BACK toward you, NOT up. I pulled up and broke the front corner of the cover piece. Thanks again for your great video.
Is the new ATF going by SUCTION or gravity?
My lower ball joint doesn't just push out. Can I use the joint puller tool?
Give it a pry! :)
@@TutorialGeniusI pried so hard, I was about to snap something...maybe my back! I had to put everything back together and go rent a ball joint separator. Even that wasn't easy to insert into the joint but I got it done. Warning to others, a lot of fluid will dump out of the transmission all over the ground when removing axle! Thanks for the video mate! It helped a great deal.
Thank you! This was very informative! 👍👍
Glad it was helpful! :)
Have a d17 engine Tried almost evrything bumped the key abt 10 or 15 times. The fucker still isnt loose
Great info! Using the open map chest site and GMapTool's Linux version even looks good to keep updates going on Linux. Garmin's software has never supported Linux, but their webpage still claims to offer free map updates for their older devices (they've had "free lifetime map updates" for a long time now) but they do say a lot of devices don't have the storage space or SD card capacity available, so those devices are S.O.L. lol! Garmin is still amazing for keeping tons of their old devices basic software updated for so long, even without maps.
Protip: hardware stores like Lowe’s and Home Depot carry 12% hydrogen peroxide. If you’re doing this, it’s probably a good idea to cut it in half or third in order to get closer to what this experiment is showing. I have no idea if less is more or more is more.
Very helpful, thank you.
You're welcome! :)
I just ordered the cheapest set. Wish me luck.
Good luck!! :)
Thnx it was a very helpful video
Most welcome 😊
Where does the old greon go?
The garage will dispose of it for you
Worked great for me.!Just a word of advice make sure you pound them straight on.
Excellent presentation. I'm sure the presenter is on the A/c mechanics hit list. Watch your back.
The video was made in response to a $2200 quote. This is already the revenge! 😆💯
This is handy my abs sensor had resistance but wasn't putting out any voltage when I was spinning the hub so I know I need a replacement
Great to hear it's diagnosed! 👑
On my manifold gages, it shows that you did it upside down. The opposite side of the hoses with the curve and are to be connected to the gaujust mine are pittsburgh
It's not upside down. This is direct from the manual
Im sorry but your voice is boring, just seems dry and unenthusiastic 🤭

Outstanding tutorial. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Everything about your video was well stated, precise, and to the point. No bogus annoying music, or unnecessary filler talks. Thank you so much. I learned so much and was able to tackle this otherwise complicated task, quite easily.
Glad you enjoyed it! :)
Thanks G
No problem! :)
Watch dozens of videos this is clear and easy to understand. 😊 And a great video and sound quality.
Happy to hear that!! :)
Why does the gauge say retard? Is it to remind you you fucked up?
Thanks for this video, especially the lesson on the different type of UV lights. Super useful. Here is a “silly” question: I saw that Philips (and other brands) are selling “Sanitizer Boxes” (hermetically sealed stainless steel boxes (super reflective) that are basically designed to disinfect everyday objects with two built-in UV-C lamps (lamp wavelength: 253.7 nm). I was wondering whether such a box could - on the basis of repeated sessions - enable a retrobright effect ? I've read here and there that for a good retrobright effect you need to combine heat + UV, and this box does both, so I was wondering. And also, I've some old walkmans to restore but not all of them are in plastic : do you think it can work on metal shell or lacquered/metallic paints ? Thanks !
I'm sure the box would work, given what I already covered in the video with regards to catalysts. For metal, I have no idea. I would guess not. I don't see why you wouldn't use some acetone or something on the metal though. That'll remove anything. There's no harm in trying if you already have the kit for other plastic objects.
@@TutorialGenius It's because I have a metal model on which a sticker "it's a sony" stayed for a long time, and when you remove it you see a difference in color (the sticker acted as a stencil), so I'd like to make this “mark” disappear (I guess that the color below the sticker is the original one). Thank you for your thoughts on the box. I might give it a try then
@@thewalkmangallery7128 Let us know how it goes! 😊
It wasn't clear to me how you knew after the 3rd heating/cooling cycle that it "broke free"? Did you discover that by trying to turn it in between and, if so, how much torque did you use on the first, second, and third tries before getting it free? It would be good to see/understand these intermediate steps.
To the point where if I applied more, the bleeder would start stripping, based on feel. I don't have an open ended torque wrench. IF you can repeat the process of heating and cooling, then there isn't much sense it pushing the torque to it's limit. Play it safe
Do you have the switch part number
I dont sorry
Were u bought the switches need the same
I got them from a junker!
So if ac clutch doesn’t engage could it be the relay is bad also?
You can test for that by switching the relay as the car uses the same reply for a couple of sockets
@@TutorialGenius ok and does all new ac compressor already have oil in them? Or how do we know if we need to put some
@@Sokren817 The package should say! It may have: nothing, enough for the compressor, enough for the whole system. So it's important to check! The person selling it will know! :)
@@TutorialGenius thank you 🙏

New subscriber excellent instruction video thank you very much. Artie 👍
Awesome, thank you!
Well, couldn't get the AC compressor to pull in, even with jumpering. Maybe a bad compressor. No AC, not good news here in FL.
Sorry to hear that!
@@TutorialGenius Thanks. It seems to be a bad compressor clutch. No one here only replaces the clutch. They want to replace the compressor, and then they say one needs to also to replace the condenser, evaporator, and dryer to warranty it. They all want $1400 bucks or more. I think I'll take on replacing the clutch myself. Kit is only $55.
@@onjofilms Yeah it's super easy! I already have a video on replacing an AC clutch on my channel. If it's burnt out the system will be contaminated and you'll need to flush the system and replace all the service-manual-recommended major ac components. That's probably where the price tag comes into play.
Compressor kicks on with one can but if I try to add another to get it to spec it shuts off making it so it won't get to spec. Is it safe to try and bypass or am I doing something wrong
I may be misunderstanding, but you watched the entire video right? I already covered a section where the freon doesn't get sucked in
@TutorialGenius yeah no I watched that part but either I wasn't paying full attention or our circumstances are just slightly different. See mine did turn on soon after starting on the first can but when I barely started on the second one it stopped. I don't think yours turned on at all which i figured in my case means I'm somehow overcharging it despite being way below spec
@@redman7540 Force the compressor to run (Like I showed in the video), but the gauges attached, then you'll get an accurate psi reading to know if it's overcharged. If it's only one can, I doubt it's overcharged, but you're not gonna get an accurate reading when the system is not up and running. There is also a hot water trick, where you place the can in a bowl of water and it should pump the freon in the system. Somebody mentioned it in a little more detail in the comments section.
@TutorialGenius alright I think what happened was my compressor actually took a shit on me right then and there because now it won't start for shit and the fuse bypass won't engage 😂 I appreciate it man I'll still take notes. Thanks for replying man you real for that
Here are some of the things to look for as follows. 1. MAF lose hose/leaks 2. MAF sensor dirty/going out 3. Dirty throttle body 4. Dirty idle control valve/going out 5. Clogged fuel filter 6. Dirty air filter/not the right size 7. Cheap gas fouled the engine
Why would you look at those when changing the fuel filter?
Thank you for sharing.
My pleasure!
I am not quite convinced that you are right. In the Black Box, there are a total of four (4) x 2-ohm Elements. But it looked like you only measured one Element. I agree that the single Element would give you approx 79 Watts. But the Heat Output from that Black Box (all parallel - wired) should be 79 x 4 Watts = 316 Watts. The Red On/ Off switch could be changed to a 3 -position Switch, where you could switch some (or all) of the Elements to provide you with different Output Wattage combinations. When I watched your video, I was thinking that the contents of the Black Box would be a PTC arrangement - and not some ancient resistance-wire / mica all knocked together. I am not an electrician, but I have a basic understanding of electronic circuits / functions. Thanks for demonstrating just how the average guy can be ripped-off with shoddy equipment, made from chinesium, and being a little economical with the truth regarding the (claimed) 600W Heat Output. Greetings from Australia.
Somebody already left a similar comment and I addressed it on the response to that. It didn't matter which configuration it was measured in, the resistance was the same (2ohms). Normally you would move the terminals, but this wasn't the case here sadly. I bought two units (in case one was faulty), but they gave the same output.
@@TutorialGenius You had four (4) individual Heating Elements inside that Box. Each Individual Heating Element measured 2 Ohms. I would agree with you that the Heat Output from ONE single element would be 79 Watts. Your conclusion (at 16:30) was that the Power Output "was not even close" - at 79 Watts! I just cannot see how you can string four (4) Heating Elements in parallel (all consuming power) with your conclusion that it "was not even close". The total power consumption was less than the manufacturers' claim, of 400W, but my reckoning was that (with all four elements connected in a parallel circuit), the power being drawn was approx. 316 Watts. If I am wrong, then I need to go back to college.
I mean you could string everything in parallel, but I'm not about to manually do that. It should be wired that way out of the box. Usually you just move the cables like I said in my last message @peterduxbury927
Hi. Is it possible to do this with a Garmin 10r-04 6953? Thanks.
No idea. Give it a try
I can see why you didn't bother to try and update the nuvi 360 (one of the ones you showed) because garmin express doesn't recognize this device, they no longer support this older device, so why did you give the impression it could be upgraded with garmin express?
It still works. So I'm not sure what you mean here
I've got all this white stuff down by my driving foot inside the middle dash under where the radio is. It's crumbling now after so many years but I'm not sure what it is. Salt build up? From my boots during the winter? Idk because it seemed pretty formed and like it's falling apart. What do you think it is. Is it toxic? I tried vacuuming it al up but its a lot.
Put it into a food blender, turn it into a fine powder, then you might be able to make some profit from it down a dark alley at night time
How about the orangey stain in a white plastic bowl? Any advice please.
I bet it would work no problem
If you purge a closed system 6ou are suction everything out of it including the OIL...
100% not true
Thanks for learning me😊
My pleasure 😊
Did you cover oop ?
Of course!
Hi,first of all i appreciate your clearly explain, thx for all tutorial. Your English is very good. I hope one day my English will be as good as yours.
Thank you for the kind comments! :)
That lock out kit is carried where? Not in your car trunk, it's locked. You're 25 miles from your kit, cause it's in your garage. You live alone, so you can't call your wife, to bring your kit. What to do, what to do? Get an extra key made and tape it somewhere on the outside of the car. I have 2 keys hidden for my car. Forget to have a key made before you need it? You''re stupid and should own a car.
I should have guessed that valves in England open when turned clockwise.
This was filmed in the USA
@@TutorialGenius Yeah, I realized that when I realized my own manifold valves work that way. I wonder why?
If the assembly has just been put together ALL the hoses and the manifold itself need to be purged of air. In the old days it was easy, just release a little system refrigerant back through the manifold and out the center port one side at a time. Now days the bureaucrats and enviro nazis have made it illegal to do that so you legally have to pull a vacuum on the set up to purge it. Pretty sure most people (including shop mechs) still just purge. But hey, it’s apparently “the law”.
You can release a little bit for purging purposes, you just cannot empty a system into the atmosphere
@@TutorialGenius sure you CAN release a system into the atmosphere. It’s whether a) you should and b) is it legal. Big difference between “can”, “should”, and “illegal”. Just a pet peeve of mine when it comes to word use. Probably because of my minor in criminal Justice.
I think there's a misunderstanding here. I was saying that you can purge air from a line and a little residue is ok. You cannot purge a system into the atmosphere, that's illegal. And even if it was legal, imo: it's kinda irresponsible @@OpenCarryUSMC
