    I loved my K02s! Then i began to travel in areas that experienced moderate rain! Everyday seemed like a crap-shoot! Those tires were horrible in the wet! Long-story-short, i’ll never buy those tires again! I hear that the K03s have similar issues!

    I loved the KO2, but I experienced the similar wet weather performance you mention. I experienced rear wheel slip when accelerating from stops in wet conditions. And standing water was an issue. However, I purchased the KO3 as replacements. Though I still have not tested them fully, I have note experienced the wheel slip at the light in wet weather.

      Totally! Speaks a lot to quality control. To date I have only heard one complaint about JBA’s and that had to do with some paint chipping, and those control arms ended up being replaced by JBA one day later without any questions asked.

    The reason I went with the KO2 on my Tacoma was the weight. Looking at similar tires, the KO2 turned out to weigh the least and the Tacoma isn't a powerhouse to begin with. I have been careful about driving in the wet based on all of the reviews, but I have never hydroplaned on these. We don't get a lot of rain anyway, so it isn't a big deal, but this definitely is not a good performer on wet snow. I've slid around on these and that was not confidence inspiring. Would I buy them again? Probably yes, if we are talking about an underpowered vehicle. If other tires become lighter then I might switch in a few years.

    • @looseaxles
      @looseaxles Před měsícem

      Really great question! I actually have another video on the JBA’s you might want to checkout. The biggest thing is depending on which model you get, they can accommodate a lift kit while keeping your UCA geometry aligned and allow for better movement of the ball joint. You’ll find these a little beefier, easy to maintain, and will add the caster if you get that option.

  • @Lostsage01
    @Lostsage01 Před měsícem

    Looks good! One thing I’d add for any others considering the SPC UCA’s, these actually saved my bacon following my lift because my alignment cams in the LCA’s were seized. Having the adjustable UCA’s allowed me to get my alignment well enough within spec that I could drive around without chewing tires until I had the time to cut off / replace the LCA’s and cams.

    • @looseaxles
      @looseaxles Před 29 dny

      Sadly, SPC’s have gone seriously downhill in build quality. Tons of issues with ball joints and X-axis bushings. They work great if your lowers are seized… but as soon as they go, you’re now replacing both your uppers again and lowers!

    Nice video, I’ve had my SPC going on about 50k miles I wheel pretty hard, daily drive and even now doing little jumps with the truck. I’m on bilstien 6112/5160 and sumo spring bumps. I regularly grease them every oil change as recommended. Not a single issue with them. I was considering JBA but I had ran SPC coilovers and camber control on my old Honda so I knew they were a trusted brand with years behind them so I went with them. Sorry to hear others had problems

      Glad to hear! Keep a really close eye on them! I have found my JBA’s to be miles above!
