Old vid I know but for those who do this and want to save a lot of time. Use denatured alcohol with a stiff bristle toothbrush to remove the rubbery black paint. Much easier! Gets you straight to the gray paint layer without creating deep scratches and ruining loads of sandpaper. The denatured alcohol literally starts melting that rubbery paint without damaging the ABS plastic or gray paint layer. Just pour some denatured alcohol in a glass jar, dip your brush and work it into the piece. It takes a few seconds to get started, but once you break through to the gray paint underneath it starts to make short work. I’ve also used this method with good success on the center waterfall and shifter bezel (textured pieces), best way I know of removing the OEM paint without destroying that factory texture.

You only need to remove the 22 mm bolt on the ball joint… the knuckle will fall down enough so that you can remove the ball joint, even with the those cups and everything… I am not disagreeing with full throttle. I think Charlie does an awesome job here, but I only removed one bolt and was able to remove and reinstall the entire ball joint without having to takeoff all the other three bolts. Don’t mean to burst anybody’s bubble.

Hey Charlie I just recently tried to replace my oem clutch line to the SS clutch line and I looked up the car where the line meets the hardline and noticed the nut was rounded is there anything you recommend on how to fix it whether it be to replace the nut or the whole entire line ?? Any tip would be appreciated !

Thanks for the video. Guy asked me about doing his windshield yday and I thought I remembered these being really bad. Yea I told him this plastic is 17 years old in Texas and if he wants to remove all this trim I will do the windshield lol. I stay 2 weeks behind so I’m blessed with a lot of work. Hey quick question I have a 03 G35 Coupe 6MT, body is perfect outside along with perfect paint. Bc coils all around , nice rims only mods. Every suspension component on the rear sub frame is bad all bushings bad differential is bad leaking loose axles they’re connected to the diff , ripped axle boots, an I’m sure the entire front all like ball joints, camber arms all the suspension components are bad, an my engine might be leaking from the Maine seals, car has 145k miles clean tittle. I can’t drive currently do to the rear diff broken, do you recommend I drop the sub frame a replace every parts I can including new diff, an also do the front end? Or sale it as is lol basically redo the entire undercarriage of the car with all new parts an alignment?

I bought a pair for $15 and BOTH of them won’t compress????

hello, I love the chain since I got my 350z. I have a question. sometimes my clutch pedal stays stuck for the last 0.4 inch (1cm). Looks like a pedal problem. the clutch is new. apparently a lot of 350z's have this problem but no one really knows what the problem is. did you know what the problem is? thank you 👋

Thanks for the directions. I did everything you did except adding a new switch. I ended up putting the old regulator back on. I'm still not sure what fixed it, but I think it may have been dirty connectors. Oddly enough, all is working now. I appreciate the detailed instructions. Getting the final bolts back on the door handle pieces was a real pain. I put a little bit of curled paper to guide the bolts back in to the holes, as the ratchet extension alone wasn't working, and I'm still not very good at working on cars in general. Also, I didn't even have to run the reset procedure. Cars are crazy.
