David Lee Roth Tell The Truth on Letterman
David Lee Roth performs "Tell The Truth" on David Letterman 1991/1992. Interview also included. I don't think David Letterman is a big fan of David Lee Roth...

Posting more of EVH on the David Letterman Show. This includes "Sunshine Your Love" and "Badge". Wow, what a tone he had! I wish he would go back to using his Marshall Super Lead. This is proof on how great that amp was!
I bought his albums Van Halen's and everybody else at the time they were all excellent!😮
Wow, that was a memorable and unexpected performance.
I got to see this tour when he came through Philly and Joe Holmes did an awesome job stepping in for the guitar GOAT Jason Becker that was stricken with ALS and couldn't tour sadly!!!
if David letterman was going to be disrespectful, he should not have had him back as guest..
Diamond Dave! Classic performance
This is a good look for Dave
is that j.becker or J. holmes,so far.
Holmes
Is that Joe Holmes on lead guitar?
Yeah
NutCase thinks hes Elvis lol Joke
Bad to the bone baby! Solid blues singing and great back up band. A side of DLR he shouldve shown more often!
One of his best songs all-time. Terrific performance by him.
Of course Letterman was not a fan - DLR had talent, charisma and a chick magnet. Letterman had none of that. Two completely opposite Dave's
This is Jason Becker?
Joe Holmes
the calmest and most down to earth i have ever seen dave.
✌️❤️🎶☯️🖖😎
Nice to hear him relax and sing
DAVID LEE ROTH" simplemente un genio" de la música Rock"...el más grande Show man" de la historia del Rock"!!!!
Can't get enough of those Diamond Dave's
you know, when Dave's sober, he can actually sing.
This man is so freaking fascinating. He just life so fully without fear. 💕
I much prefer it when David acts like a crazy maniac and plain insane, which is GREAT and normal and i love that!!!
Joe Holmes on guitar = awesome
What was the deal with those ridiculously large CD packages?
The long boxes allowed record stores to continue to use their vinyl sized album display bins by placing two long boxes side by side. All of the album art was printed towards the top half so you could see it above the row in front. It was quite clever, if not a bit wasteful in some people's opinion.
@@joebalusikiii5811 they could have just used plain cardboard boxes to pack out the bottom of the vinyl displays and put normal sized CDs on top of them. Would have been cheaper I think
@@andrewbevan4662 that's what was explained to me when I asked something similar way back in the day.
Is that Jason Becker on guitar?
Joe Holmes was in his place, by the time the album was finished Jason was too ill to go on tour. It's a shame, would have loved to see him.
was that jason becker in the back
Nope, sadly Jason was stricken with ALS and couldn't tour so Joe Holmes replaced him and did a great job!
Right before his career tanked and VH was skyrocketing.
I love you babe, never shave!
A+
He sounds great. Not so over the top as he became with age. Fit his voice well.
As much as I loved his onstage antics, it was also great when Dave “just sang” ...... like this.
Nice heavy Bass line… nice job by Paul on the keys /mixed with Dave’s smoky vocals…..
When Dave isn't acting goofy, he comes up with amazing stuff like this!!
Problem is he is always acting goofy. Especially now he losing his marbles. He is long gone nowadays
Dave sings great here. Wish he would do more of this kind of stuff nowadays.
david lee roth is a douche. he was good and almost tolerable innhis years with VH. now he is washed up and a giant douche.
Was a great CD very differant for dlr
Wow what a gem. Dave's so cute, what a treat to see a different side of him. Its all good ✅💕💕✅
Becker le puso un toque exquisito a esta canción. Es una verdadera lástima que pronto haya quedado inhabilitado.
El que toca en este video es Joe Holmes, Jason ya no estaba bien de salud
He's a JOKE!!
This is the best DLR solo tune ever.
He wound up cancelling the tour thanks to the rise of Grunge and assholes like Nirvana and Pearl Jam
Diamond Dave and The World’s Most Dangerous Band. Love it and Roth sounded great on this tune. Great conversation too.
Harry Anderson (Night Court) pulled this trick on me when I volunteered to help him with his act. His reaction, Oh, you're a swallower!
Every video I see of Eddie he is always scratching his head. Must be coming down from a coke high.
I really like this look and the song suits his voice
Wow!!! That's the calmest I ever saw DLR....
GOD Bless You 🎸🎸🎸
Semplicemente Fantastica 🎸🎸🎸
R.I.P. Eddie Van Halen
R.I.P. EDDIE
I wish he talked about Jason Becker.
