How has the paint/coating held up with usage? Any chips or dulling? Would you use it again?
Really well. In fact it has been two years and last night we were looking it over and commented on how the Color hasn’t even faded. I do however recommend first coating areas that were repaired like welded patch panels or rust repaired areas with POR15 or Tremclad rust paint first. We have two small spots that have bleeding through that I need to repair. Had I first sealed them with a rust paint we wouldn’t have to fix them now. Otherwise the stuff is tough and resists scratches etc well.
Nice job, but the color... i dont know... blue patriot, silver, or gold. but its ok...
Nice color... I guess I don't understand the aluminum foil.
Music is absolute garbage too
So is your comment
@@StevesGarage26 just like your tj
@@MidnightPolaris800 keyboard warrior garbage comments. Your TJ video has how many views in comparison? Lol.
Good lord that thing is rusty and ive had a few tjs i thought were bad...this thing is on a whole different level.
junk
Thanks for the video. This will help me to install a floor pan and a cab mount. I would like to know , is where did you get the floor pan from ? Also do you know what gauge it is ? Thanks.
nice job 👏
Amazing!!❤
Those shitty small tires and rims need to go. All that room for a wider wheel and negative offset to house wider and bigger tires.
When i get mine dirty i just use a deck brush with soapy water
What’s that part called at lower fender that connects to the torque box? I need 2 and cannot find that part or even what they’re called.
The Torque box comes in two configurations. One has the full box front to back. Maybe you have the partial torque boxes not sure. The torque box gets spot welded or plug welded to the new floor pan. The lower fender doesn’t touch the torque box so I may be misunderstanding your question.
@@StevesGarage26 I guess it’s called a fender tub mount support. It comes down from the fender and screws into the torque box with 2 screws. I’m replacing all floor pans, the the torque boxes and them 2 tub mount supports. As well as any preventative maintenance I can do while I’m down there. I priced all the parts out from eBay. Any other recommended sites to find these body parts to look at?
@@repairmanlevi9656 we used Keyparts and had them shipped to us.

Fine job!
Rust yuk !
Turned out great! Nice video!
What if you could find a 2003 TJ with a perfect interior, good frame, no rust and you only had to replace the bouncy things and the steering things. What would you pay? Spoiler alert, i bought it. 4WD place is charging $4500 to replace everything underneath. Would you do it?
Amazing job guys that's awesome It makes me wanna repent my TJ
How is the Raptor Liner holding up 2 years later?
Great. We have one spot that has a bubble behind it we will be fixing but that’s where we treated rust. We learned that the best way to use this product is to seal body work areas first with a rust paint. The small fix will be easy since it’s textured anyway so blending is easy.
Good job 👍
I have a 3.5” lift on my TJ. Is it ok to go back to stick pitman rather than the dropped. I’ve heard warnings the steering shaft will come out if you don’t drop it. TY
Great results. I hope you have many enjoyable adventures in it.
I love your videos, in my opinion, and it just that, the tools make the best soundtrack.
As soon as I saw the P. Auto Power Fist grinder I knew you were Canadian.
Love the videos. How much of a lift is on the TJ?
Thanks for watching. We have a 4 inch lift.
Fantastic labor of love!
Really nice job
I have a 3.5” lift and thinkin bout doing a 1” drop of the pitman arm and the trac bar on the frame side with double sheer bracket…opinions please.
we got the same dog and car lmaooo
i wish my father worked on my jeep with me bought it i done a lot of work with it not to the extent of yours cause i’m only alone but man i wish i could do this
While I understand why, I think Rhino/Raptor/Bed liners used as paint for the exterior makes that vehicle look cheap and redneck. As another commenter posted, if it's worth doing, it's worth doing right. All that does is add weight and short term satisfaction.
Hate Raptor, looks awful.
Lol
Nice job. What did you use to paint the wheels??
Dunno, why they changed the design where you need to take the grill off to change a headlight (JK), I guess to prevent theft of $600 LED headlights.
Those bolts were actually pretty cooperative considering the condition of the Jeep when you guys got it.
Looks great in blue
turned out very nice, but please make nice rims on it
Hi, nice videos! Do you guys by any chance have Instagram or another page?
Great video! I’m a newbie keep owner, just bought a rust free 99 TJ. My interior is bare bones so I’ll also be lining it. I noticed you have a locking center console! Is that OEM for that year? I’d like to get one, I’f they make them. I know parts and accessories are plentiful for TJs but I’m still learning where to get good quality not Amazon quality? Thank!
Hi yes it was oem for 06. Thanks for watching and please subscribe. More Jeep upgrades are planned.
Excelente trabajo!!!!! 👍 Saludos desde 🇲🇽
That is nice. I LOVE that blue. I will start on an LJ next year and look for ideas.
You find this jeep at the bottom of a lake?😳
U know you could take those door handles and key holes off I took my jeep 1 hundred percent apart to bedliner it
Just subscribed. Great family project. Just picked up a 2000 for me and my Kid to do. What guage metal did you use on lower/side tub in front of the rear wheel?
Thanks for watching. I believe it was 18 guage. Most new cars are 19 so 18 is good.
Love seeing the Jeep TJ come back to life!!! Awesome!
Buying my grandfathers 1990 yj and boy does it need some tlc 😅
Very interesting work, especially for a non-handy man like myself.
Lol I use 6 coats of clear coat. I like the lights 😂
Nice
There are lots of better jeeps out there, but thanks for saving this one.
