Ho hum...(Yawn) There are many pitfalls in political satire. The first being that once you know on what side the satire is everything becomes obvious, predictable, hacked and well, boring after the first minute. The second being that nothing dates faster than a take on specific politics with specific people. I laugh uproariously at Steptoe and son and Dad's Army - made over 50 years ago - but in a couple of more years no one will know what she's talking about.

This is a particularly good impression because Theresa Mays voice has no obvious quirks or nuances that can make an impression easier to take on. Woman like Janet Street Porter or Ann Robinson give you plenty of scope but this must've taken a lot of work.

I’m American and a fervent Hillary supporter, and I must say...even though her accent is...not the greatest (come on, it’s her first time doing it, of course it’ll be shaky), I’m pretty sure the more she does it, the more she’ll improve over time. And midwestern accents can be hard to do for someone who isn’t familiar with that accent or is from another country (normally, Jan is spot on with her accents, but it doesn’t seem to be the case here). Now, to see her Teresa May placed up against Kate Mckinnon on Saturday night live over here...now THAT would be awesome.
