    The Hot Toys 1989 Batman version 2.0 is a beautiful and well made figure. Unfortunately, the likeness of the finished product looks almost nothing like Michael Keaton. Also, the suit is very inaccurate with way too much texture. Lastly, for some unknown reason they made the body wider and bulkier. To me it looks like a stunt double in the Batsuit.

  • @dangiambrone7350
    @dangiambrone7350 Před 8 dny

    The 2.0 looks fantastic with the bloodied faceplate, the eyes looking up or to the sides, and once you've futzed the cape. The suit texture is still a negative, it lacks the smoothness and definition of the DX09, the two other faceplates are mediocre. Another thing I don't like is the posture of the figure, he looks like he's thrusting out his midsection. I don't think I've ever been so torn on a figure; whether to keep it or move it on.

    I have the exact same situation. I have dx09 and batman returns also. Then i pre-ordered 2.0 version of -89 batman in day one. I was very hopeful and thought i would still keep my awesome dx09. When the day came and 2.0 was almost arrived for delivery i thought i don't want it anymore. It was downgrade. I canceled the order. It wasn't easy decision but right one and saved a lot of money. I'm very happy with my dx09 with custom cape 👍 i'm not gonna buy possible batman returns 2.0 because my original figure is also very good condition and looks awesome. We also have to keep in mind that inArt may produce -89 batman too in some point.

  • @HT4mebaby
    @HT4mebaby Před 9 dny

    So someone else who thinks like myself. I got the 2.0 coming from my local shop. The DX09 is one of my favorite 1/6 figures. I am not a big poser either. I bought mine with a custom cape for $300 about 2 months prior to the 2.0 being released. I’ve had zero issues. The body has lasted. I do not have the Batman Returns. However I bought the Wayne from the 2Pk. So I have the Bruce Waynyand Dx09. I’m curious about Mars Toys Wayne. Thanks for the video. I grew up on 89 Batman. I still remember seeing it on a warm summer afternoon in Lake Geneva Wi. Maybe I bought your Wayne. Lol. I actually like that Bruce Wayne. But the DX09 is gotta be one of my top 3 figures in all my collection. I’m glad I didn’t sell it. I think it will go up because now people who did sell theirs are regretting it.

    If both Batmobile car are 1/6, then why HT looks smaller, still you can fit Batman fig in there. Looks like HT is not true 1/6 or is ? I heard Jazz Inc did some research and got to the bottom of 89 Batmobile production. Maby, that's why their Batmobile is more likely true 1/6 scale.

    • @BatmanCollectorDad
      @BatmanCollectorDad Před 4 měsíci

      HT is not really 1/6. It is under scaled , it has to be longer from the front and more curved. Jazzinc did both, also the color on the car and rims is also off on the HT

    • @diecastmodelsnbeyond6354
      @diecastmodelsnbeyond6354 Před 4 měsíci

      @BatmanCollectorDad Yes , HT is still a good model to display with your Batman. I really don't get it why HT Batmobile has greenish lights instead of yellow like the Jaz have. It is like they can't see it is green, not yellow.

    • @BatmanCollectorDad
      @BatmanCollectorDad Před 4 měsíci

      @@diecastmodelsnbeyond6354 HT is definitely still a good option. I think HT just cut corners so it be cheaper to make for them. Even with the reissue you can see they continues to cut cost for themselves, the car is the same as the first one but they don’t include the shield or even an art box. Now it’s just the shipper box with a picture of the car printed in it.

    I think it’s a bit nitpicky considering Jazzinc is a small company making these by hand and not a large company manufacturing these like Hot Toys. I’m blown away by what Joost and Co have done with this and the lighting really sells it. Joost has always come through whenever I have had issues. He’s a stand-up guy. Be proud you have one of the very few. Nothing in life is perfect so enjoy it while you can.

    • @BatmanCollectorDad
      @BatmanCollectorDad Před 4 měsíci

      I understand what you mean. I also think what the company does is very impressive as I have purchased multiple vehicles from them and I also agree that Joost always stands by his products and does whatever it takes to make his customers happy when a problem occurs. With that said, using the excuse that it’s a small company that does this by hand holds no weight when you spend that amount of money on a vehicle like this. I understand the reason for the cost, but it doesn’t take away that it is still a lot of money. An amount like that warrants a little more nit picking than if you buy them from Hot Toys who’s vehicles are sometime 3 times cheaper in price. The things I mentioned here are not to put down the company at all. I still enjoy the product and I am waiting for my 89 Batmobile from Jazzinc to be shipped this year. But saying the product is perfect/amazing and over looking certain issues is not good. Not for the viewers and not for the company either, the more issues they know about the more they learn on future products.

    I think the interior is a let down but it's based on that movie version so that too is a let down, it isn't a great car in the film to be honest, it's very theatrical in looks and basic inside. But it is a crazy design and very organic looking. But the 89 will be for superior, even the hot toys version is a very good version. Great review mate I'm very surprised with the issues you have and how much they cost that is not good..

    • @BatmanCollectorDad
      @BatmanCollectorDad Před 4 měsíci

      Thanks! I agree the 89 Batmobile is the definitive Batmobile look. I used to have the 89 from Hot toys and decided to sell it to get the Jazzinc version. I just hope they do a better job with the quality. If not then it will be my last Jazzinc product. The quality issues they have are always a problem when you pay what they charge. Regardless of the pricing being because its a very limited run or low volumes being produced. It doesn’t take away that it is still a lot of money and Im a fan of the company, I hope they keep growing and the owner does a good job with the customer service and makes sure you are happy with your purchase, but I don’t want to pay sometimes triple the price of a Hot Toys car to have the same level of quality even if it looks amazing from a far. Unfortunately some people sees me talking about this and thinks Im being a hater on the company.

    Bro I just got mine I sent an email to JazzInc. My canopy is doing the same thing to be honest not a big fan of this. I also have the batwing and the 66 Batmobile but I have not open them being that I’m looking to purchase a home, and I live in a two bedroom, I hope the other two aren’t like this as well. I wish hot toys would’ve chose to do this vehicle.

    • @BatmanCollectorDad
      @BatmanCollectorDad Před 5 měsíci

      Im sorry to hear that. From what I’ve been seeing on their private group it is a very common issue. But you emailed them so they will work on making it right for you. I also emailed them and was pleased with the support. As for Hot Toys they don’t make anything that they feel will have low sales, Jazzinc mentioned a few times that even for them the support for this car was very low and they barely made the minimum sales requirement to start the production. Jazzinc likes to concentrate on products that don’t have high demand(with the exception of the 89 Batmobile) but still have an audience which is really cool. But the quality control is sometimes a problem. They aren’t the only ones with problems for sure. Hot Toys always has problems as well, but the price tag on this Jazzinc vehicles makes it hard to give the issues a pass.

Personally, I believe that the quality has drastically decreased in Jazzinc's constructions; in many areas, it seems like molded plastic, especially the seats. This one cost around $1500; if you compare it to the new Blitzway Ecto-1, which is $400 more, the difference in details is insane.
