This happened to me yesterday on s20 ultra i woke up found doing like this then aftter 2 hours it went complety black dead today i replaced the screen for 200dollars😢😢😢😢
Go to quick toggle menu than in the britness you will see a < click on the button then turn off adaptive britness than reduce he britness to low Still it's not working go to samsung's service center and change the display Thanks

My phone do this too lol, I already open the back glass, and unplugged the flexible, still not working, and when I try to press the bottom side of the battery it's working again, probably the problems are not the flexible attach to the mother board, but from the other end
I had this problem; it lasted around one week. I was using my phone in deX mode for some days, but today it started working again. I did nothing in particular to solve this; as far as I know, this can happen and fix itself. For this kind of issue, you must have a backup phone and let it be; maybe your cellphone will awaken from the coma or maybe not. Try to master the art of activating DeX without the screen working on your phone, like me. If you don't have the time to wait until that happens, you can choose to try to fix it (some technician will check the internal connections or replace the screen) or just buy a new phone, expecting to not have this design issue again. 😂
It happenes to me Just fixes it self lasted a couple months When it happen again i just turn the phone off and let it sitt a few days it will fix it self Ussualy it last a few months before i neesd to do again
same issue but now its works.. first you need to put inside the rice full charge battery and turn off.. and get it back after 1month. no need repair thats my tricks. im technacian. i have s20plus white screen issue. until now its okay
From the sheer volume of people having this same screen issue it has to be a ‘Model’ fault. Also as someone has already mentioned- if you SLOWLY push in the charging pin into the charging port/slot on your phone then this eventually brings your screen back to normal… You might have to repeat this a few times to get it to work 👍
it seems the problem is in the controller inside. it's cheap but takes to fix. Samsung probably knows the problem I believe but they don't care as far the warranty expired in most cases. I found a service that could fix it here but they wanted more money than to get another display from Ali and some guys on Aliexpress said they can fix it for 35 usd + you have to cover delivery. my screen was broken twice already in the same way. I decided to order a defected screen with a black spot for 50usd from Aliexpress and replaced it by myself this time. also the second time my display was broken in a few months after I started using super fast charging, before that I use fast charge all the time and the screen survived half year more than the first one(1 year vs 1 and 7 months) so it might somehow be related

This is a software glitch caused by a security update, that the carriers F'd up with their add-ons. Samsung literally make millions of phones ...and you want to boycott them because 1 in 500k has an issue caused by a carrier? 😂😂 Someone should teach you about mass production. 😂😂
Change your display settings to 60hz only and use light color background wallpaper and lockscreen rather than black. Turn off dark mode. Worked for me.
@@moaazsaleh1177 Hi update, unfortunately it didn't work for me now. Best is to replace your lcd. You can buy for a cheaper price if you buy lcd with damage (black dot). Costed me 50USD, way cheaper than buying new lcd 250USD.
I am in the same situation right now, happened to me today, I tried everything, I restarted my device several times and still the same. 😢 Also noticed that the back of the phone is opening by the side, I dont know what to do!! 💔
My s20 ultra also have this problem but the solution is pretty easy i reach out the samsung customer care and the solution for this is put the phone into safe mode by holding down the power off icon and then leave it for 30 min if the issue is solved then its the problem of 1 of the apps installed on the phone but if that not worked then its a hardware issue
I just had the same problem I used Phone Link on windows to display the screen on my computer then went to Settings -> Display -> Screen Resolution and kept changing the resolution and left it on the lowest resolution then all of a sudden it started working again..not sure how long it will last
I remember camping in 2013/2014 and playing Minecraft on my old Kocaso android 4.0 tablet when the screen just suddenly started fading white right in front of me. All I saw was a burned-in image of the game. I forced the tablet to shut down via long press of power button. It turned back on to the "Kocaso" screen, then to the OG green Android splash screen, before shutting itself back off. It wouldn't let me turn it back on at all
@Ratna-xc4le try and see if you can locate the screen light adjustment at the top, then keep pushing it back and forth and it will eventually stop. When it does, remove the adaptive lighting from automatic so if it happens again, it will be easy for you to adjust the screen ligjt

Mine just did that... Took it to Verizon and they flashed it with the last update... Fixed the issue.

You can also use a HDMI connector or screen mirroring to display the screen

Had a similar issue with an S20. Plugged it into a PC to transfer files and it temporarily fixes itself. Not a permanent solution however
